Subtitles not available on my Samsung D550 TV?

Hi

I tried to watch the Japanese movie "2046" using the ConnectShare Movie function on my Samsung PN51D550 plasma (Samsung PN51D550 Specifications | Digital Trends Reviews but couldn't get the subtitles to work.

I went to the TV's "Menu - System - Subtitle" and found the Subtitle selection was off and also grayed out. Does anyone know why it is grayed out - subtitles not available on this TV?
