Subwoofer crawl is the top choice when it comes to calibrating your new sub.I am in to HT for a long time and have used multiple subs but not once i have done it. So out of curiosity i decided to give it a shot. Without the subwoofer crawl i have already calibrated my sub. As i have my HT set up on my Bedroom i some times watch sitting in my bed or on a bean bag placed on top of the bed. So i tried in both ways ie with the sub placed on the seating position on both the bed and the bean bag. I played some action scenes and some music but when i crawled in all the possible positions where i can place my sub,all the positions sounded the same. And also the bass sounded very week and flat and at some scenes couldn't feel the presence of the subwoofer. So whats wrong here? And also it raised few doubts as well. For example I blindly place the sub at one spot, run audyssey and then do the sub crawl method. Audyssey will calculate the sub distance from your seating location with the sub volume knob set to 50%. So here while doing the sub crawl method do i need to reduce the volume or keep it in 50%.
