Suggest Best 5.1 speakers budget 4k max

Hi friends suggest me best 5.1 speaker in the range of 4k. It should be available in chennai or else available online. Thanks in advance. I am considering edifier m3500.

4K budget is too low for a good 5.1 setup. Stick with the edifier model.

Even philips and sony has some some models.

A friend of mine recently bought a Videcon 5.1 for around 4k. It sounds bloody superb for the price. Subwoofer goes very low, sounds tight and not at all boomy. The satellites are quite good too but I don't know the model number. Just go to nearby electronic store and audition their best available system, you might be pleasantly surprised.

The Sony speakers you are referring to are passive 5 speakers with one active woofer. The woofer is a bit boomy and about the quality of the speakers,there are no mids.Also it depends on the source you use to drive the speakers.Someone was testing them at the local computer shop and it felt bad with Lg DVD player he was using. Still at 5.5K price point i had look somewhere.
