As far as the video part is concerned, it will do justice, but you know it was the hottest config card about 2-3 years back! now, it has gone above the 9K series.
Cheers!
Hi,
I have a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT (512 mb) in good condition, since I have upgraded to a better gigabyte MBD with a HDMI port. I am no longer using this.
Cheers!
The reason I thought of having this limitation is so that regular contributors can benefit from this thread.Great idea but why this limitation? Also, is it only for those who are giving away stuff or for recipients also?
Is this thread limited to free giving away stuffs?Just like a gift?
thekinge, appreciate your noble thought and also your willingness to volunteer for organising these things. But the theme behind this thread is "the joy of giving". The small joy you may get knowing that someone somewhere will put to use your 'once very closely cherished' things the way they were meant to be usedSanthol, this is a very good thread!
However I have an alternate suggestion: Why not check if it can be donated to a charity? Am fairly sure some of the members may be in touch with charities who can organize this. Most of us here (bless us) are able to afford things that we need or like, however that is not the case with a lot of our fellow citizens. I think this thread is eventually going to turn up a lot of unwanted items (for us) like old 21 CRTs, tape recorders, cassette players, walkmans, cassettes etc. They may be quite useful if we donate them to charities.
I wouldnt mind volunteering but I live in Dubai hence my contribution right now is limited to offering suggestions to forum members in India. Alternatively, if this idea picks up, I will be more than glad to be the online organizer to keep a list of things being offered city-wise and then pass it on to volunteer members from each city. What do you & other members think?
You'd be surprised how snobbish some of these charities are![]()
Very true venkatesh and am glad to know you are associated with these kind of activities. If you're willing to, pls let me know. I can show you lot of homes where 500 INR makes a huge difference, yes, I am talking about 2010!
P.s.: if any guys are interested in charity, social service, please let me know, I can help you reach the needy.
Wow, which one? Technics double deck was my dream those days!! If nobody else is interested until Saturday, I will courier the entire set to you. PM me your address.I am interested in the cassettes as I have recently purchased a cassette deck![]()
Murali, I will take this cabinet if still available. I am interested in DIY and may need your guidance for choosing the right drivers, crossovers etc.Hai all,
I have a 3-way speaker cabinet, (without drivers) shown below , of size 68cmx25cmx30cm-HxWxD with cut-outs for a 8-inch woofer, 6inch mid & 4-inch tweeter, made of 12mm MDF board and front grills , bass port of 50 mm in front , and spring type connectors at back, which I offer for free. Must be good for DIY enthusiasts. If interested PM me.

Sorry Spiro, did you have something else in mind? For selling/buying, there is a classifieds section. For non-av giveaway, we can start another thread if required.
Spot on, I used to love his DIY speakers. Shankar was the walking-talkiing version of Shazam. I was devastated when moved his shop elsewhere and I could not find out his whereabouts.Fantastic thread, Santhosh. Had the same idea a few days back. Great!!!
Shankar's music, Malleshwaram 7th cross, right??
oh man I remember tdk!!
I used to save up to buy these tapes and used the AD60s very selectively(critical listening sessions??...lol). For casual listening, it would be TDK D60s and even Meltrack(big bang for small buck) by Murugappa electronics. But always 60 mins tape only because I was told they were better for SQ. can someone bust this myth?Oooh TDK AD60....my band from school we recorded a demo tape and we had copies on TDK AD60....it was supposed to be a big deal those days![]()
yes, and in the spirit of giving - it should be free - except the cost of shipping
Exactly same came to mind(already there is a classifieds for sale) ,so I asked whether this thread is to offer av stuff for free.
Currently I dont have any else in mind.![]()
To be honest a lot of our specialised stuff will be worthless and useless for charity..I mean leaftover speaker cable, non working TT,partialy working tape deck, knobs, any gadet for parts remot controls......what charity will do out of it??
Santhol, this is a very good thread!

Hi Santhol.......its a very good thread I must say.....however, I feel the limit shoulde be reduced. Most of the members who are new here have just started building their AV system and are in real need of such stuffs, including me
The limit of 100 posts is injustice to members like me.
