today i got a pink line on my lcd

Today suddnley i got a pink line on my lcd and when i call up service guy he told me my lcd has gone as pink line represent a dead pixel and it combination of blue and red color .He said i need to replace the panel which just 4 year old .Is lcd life only 4 years ? Few day back just for few mins the line disappear. i was suprise whats happening in lcd ?

what u guys think what is reason of dead pixel do u think is there any remedy on dead pixel ? i have heard about pixel massage and many more crazy stuff .

Usually it does mean that you have to help keep the LCD manufacturer in business by buying a new one.
Still, I would suggest you take a second opinion.

I had a similar problem in my viewsonic lcd monitor,where it the pink and yellow line used to occur for a few min,the problem is definitely in the panel.My monitor has a thin bezel so a gentle press or a tap on the top side of the bezel made it go away it used to occur again and again,so called the service guys and got the panel replaced.He said the soldering inside the panel are become loose.He also said eventually they will refurbish the panel which they took from my monitor.

You can try those pixel massage and other stuff you find in the internet it may or may not work in rectifying the dead pixel but it won't help you with the pink line.
