Toshiba Regza 40AV700e

I saw an offer from ezone on this model. I couldn't see the "official" specs from Toshiba on this one. Will appreciate any reviews of this specific model or the AV series in general. I saw one review on 32AV700 but wanted to hear from a few more people.

its an excellent vfm tv with very good PQ in its price point. negotiate hard, i got my 32 for 20k

@gras: You mean 32inch at 22k at eZone right? Check with small time retailers they will give you better discount. The reason is Toshiba is not established in India and Indian consumers dont give a 2nd look to it due to brand image. One more concern could be service capability, I hope we dont have to get there. The unit I got was a direct UK import and came with UK plug though it was manufacturer in Indonesia. The PQ is much better than my Panasonic X9 but vieweing angle of my Pana is better than Toshiba. Toshiba when viewed straight the blacks much more like black than greyish as in my pana x9

@Venk: Yeaps its for 20k with 0% interest EMI with 500rs processing charge. Have updated in Price Thread, and it can be bought at Chandra stores in Chennai by quoting our forum name.

Its a 40-incher in fact. I'm hoping too that i won't need any service in the near future.

Looks like a good deal. Will post a review when i get my hands or rather eyes on it.

Yep - thats why i was curious about any downsides apart from one possibility of it being a display unit. Once i get the unit, i will know whether i really got lucky!

I happen to see this 22k offer in Bangalore Central Ezone ( Near ragigudda, jayanagar 9th block).
It is a really good deal. i have sony bx300. When i compared the both, i could not make out much difference. Anyways i was recommending this Toshiba to a couple of my friends.

Interesting things happen in life.

I got a call from ezone yesterday saying they will deliver this. I still had my fingers crossed. Today they delivered the 40-incher at 22K !! I still couldn't believe this deal happened - so I immediately set it up with my Airtel (SD) and Philips HTIB. So far so good.

Will have to play around to optimize the settings over the next few days and work on upgrading the rest of the setup to full HD over the next few months.

Hope HFV continues to help as it did with my TV purchase! If there are any threads for Toshiba Regza settings, please point it to me.
