I bought the Toshiba 42 inch RV series LCD from eZone on Diwali and this costed me 43K at that time after a lot of haggle..
the AV series 40 inch had a price displayed as 37 or 39K that time....getting one for 22k is a loooooot...

In today's Delhi Times , EZone listed Toshiba 40AV700E at Rs. 39990 + A Koryo Soundbar worth Rs. 12490 Included.
Is it a good deal???
Eeeks but on their website they Qoute it at Rs. 40,490 (Including the Soundbar)
But Rs. 35,990 (Without the Soundbar) on the website.

Yeah thanks for our advice. Even i was not interested in getting it.
But how's the pricing?
If it was not a 40 incher I would have suggested other brand but the same tv bought by someone in forum for 22k in ezone bangalore .. Hard to believe... He is yet to reveal which branch sold him the piece....

Its not possible for 22k , must be a display piece.
May be but @ half price I wouldnt really bother... Just waiting for that guy to respond.

This is unbelievable man, here I was smiling at getting the 32 at 20k and you get 40 at 22k...some people have all then luck in that world

Either it is a refurbished or by now the salesguy would have been fired... I am still waiting for OP to reveal ezone branch name.

After seeing his post, i was even tempted to buy a 40" LCD for 22K. Damn good deal.
So i called up e-zone customer care a week back to find out if this was actually true. They said that they have this offer but only if you buy it online without any demonstration. He said they would refund the money in 15 days if we were not satisfied with the product. I was quite surprised to hear this. So i noted down this model # from their website and called up e-zone chenaai to check if they had this particular model on display. They said they had this product on display but the cost was around 40K. I explained the whole conversation that i had with their support team. They were clueless.
i Went down straight to e-zone chennai @OMR to see this LCD in flesh & thought if the display is good, lemme book online. After sometime, the manager of the showroom and myself browsed on e-zone link and he confirmed me that there was some technical issue on the website and hence confusion. So i left e-zone disappointed.
Now the person who posted this query in the forum says he got it for 22K. I think i missed it. If this offer is still on, lemme know. BTW give your feedback on the product as it would help others for such a very good steal.

But what is stopping him from revealing it. Anyway I can't do anything about it even if the Bangalore guys are getting this offer, I am in Delhi.
@elangoas - Can you please pass on that link which displays the 22k price.
P.S. - I am still waiting for someone to review this product. I don't mind spending 40k if the product is worth it.

I have brought a Toshiba 40AV700 for 34k (Exchange for my old 29 inch Philips TV) from Devi Electronics ,Bangalore.
Reason for buying Toshiba is
1) Quality of an Image when compared with the same level of settings with SONY40EX400 in Pai International. Infact he suggested me to go for Toshiba.
2) Natural Colours (additional patented colour technology apart from RGB colours and Panel.
3) 4 HDMI
4) It has the same features as of SONY 40EX400 like Ambient Sensor, Auto Signal booster, 4 HDMIs, 24p cinema but the rate of sony is 55k and Toshiba is 38k.
I have a SONY upscaling 1080p DVD player. The moment i have connected and watch the movies.. Mindblowing.. My parents were amused to see such a clarity.
My cousin has a sammy full HD 32 inch TV with Big TV connection, I was bit disappointed to see the picture quality.
I have a Tatasky HD connection and to be frank the i didnot see any pixelation in any of the channels. Its 40 Inch.. But still the there is no pixelations..
Star Cricket HD, NEO SPORTS HD, DISCOVERY HD and NGC HD is treat to an EYE..
I agree that LED lit LCD TV produce more brightness and contrast ratios and consumes less power but for my TV viewing what ever i have is more sufficient and I am very much satisfied with my product.
We are in a generation where today's technology will be a outdated one tommorow.
After 5 years again new technology will emerge and we are provoked to buy a new product. So Invest less on Electronics items.

Sorry - have been away for the last 4-5 days. I did mention in my very first post that this was from ezone online. I got this on a Sankranthi offer.
Not sure whether it was an ezone error or it is a refurbished one. The label says it was imported in December 2010. I also don't plan to check usage hours et al.
Haven't spent much time on settings yet.
As i had mentioned in another earlier post, my sources are still in the SD world. Need to upgrade gradually to HD - i'll proabably get a BR player first.
Initial impresssions (upgrading from a 29" CRT):
* Neat looks (nothing flash)
* Currently floor-mounted - stand is pretty stable; the same mountings can be used for Wall-mounting too
* Did my own installation (Airtel SD DTH, Philips 5.1 HTIB) - Toshiba guy called yesterday and scheduled a demo tomorrow
* Set to "mild" mode currently
* TV is in the living room which is very brightly lit but not in the line of viewing - no problems in the brightness area with the TV and no reflection problems either
* SD signal looks OK (a bit washed out - to be expected) at VD = 10-12 ft ; bearable with SD
* DVD looked good thru Component
* Will post HD feedback once i get some HD sources

Not sure what happened @ ezone. Initially they said they'll refund the amount. Then a couple of days later, they call and say the product will ship! And i received it the next day itself.
