I am extremely impressed with my new Qinpu A6000 amplifier.
I am running it with 24 bit FLAC sources via Win 7 Ultimate OS PC,
through a Musical Fidelity V-DAC ver 2 MK-II. Using FooBar 2000
and 64 bit ASIO to allow MF V-DAC 2 to control Asynchronous USB.
I am using 14 gauge pure oxygen free copper speaker cables to my
Focal Chorus 807V speakers.
I listened for a few weeks with stock tubes (6N3) and they are not bad.
Upon research from various audio sites - I bought the following 3 new
sets of tubes to try rolling my 6N3 tubes:
5670 W 2C51 New JAN G.E. Tube
NEW Russian 6385 5670 ECC42 Tube
Matched Pair Raytheon Windmill Getter 5670 Tubes
I replaced the stock 6N3 tubes with the 5670W Jan GE tubes.
Wow - what an absolute incredible difference these tubes make!!!
No less than spectacular. All instruments are smooth, highly detailed,
with greater depth of audio dimensional sound. Vocals now have
a great forward presence. Sax and trumpets are sweet and detailed.
All of my high quality music sounds great. The biggest striking
difference is with great Vocal Jazz / Easy CDs. Recommend the following
Diane Krall - All for You,
Ingram Washington - What a Difference a Day Makes,
Rumer - Seasons of my Soul.
I will try the Russian 6385 tubes, and save for the last my
Raytheon Windmilll Getter 5670 tubes.
Overall this tube amplifier is very nice. I have more than enough
power to drive my Focal 807V's. This tube amplifier is clearly a
great value and spectacular when rolling tubes up.
The 5670W tubes make an enormousness difference in audio quality.
Has anyone compared this tube amp to the Music Angel KT88
YAYI XDSE YC-808MK, or the Music Angel XDSE 845 tube amps?
I have the bug now for tube amps ....!!! I have heard good things
about the Music Angel and wanted to hear from anyone that owns
or has directly heard either of the above Music Angel tube amps
compared to the Qinpu A6000 MKII tube amp. I know that the
A6000 is an only an integrated tube amp (pre-amp only).
My guess would be that the Music Angel KT88 or 845 would
sound even better.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
