Urgent help to identify demo piece

Its really sad to see this happen. I wish there was a way to end all this. It is not fair to the customer who has to go through the stress of selecting the right tv, spending so much money and then wait in anxiety for the tv set to arrive only to discover it's a demo piece.

Not everyone is aware of accessing the system menu and even the company technician who visits sometimes does not entertain such requests.

This happens with all brands and across all dealers. I wish the company at their level would set some rules or policy for dealers that would work to the advantage of the customers.

Is there any way to reset the usage counter? If the usage says it is new but yet the piece looks used, any thoughts on that???

I think it can be reset but only in mfg process. Just by factory reset things won't become normal.

However I think there has to be strict guidelines and rules to enforce that users don't get a demo piece and if they get it they get some discounts so that it won't happen.

Not sure if you would be able to answer this.
Is the wall mount on W850/W950 different than normal lcd tvs ?

I already have a 32 Sony Bravia LCD mounted on the wall (generic wall mount stand) . Would this one just fit or one needs new drilling holes?

Its a generic one, they got the regular wall mount and mounted the TV for me.
I didn't have an LCD/LED TV before so not sure on that but I asked them and they said it is a generic one only.

The current mount is like this :
Wall Mount

What about extended warranty? Croma is quoting 7k for 2 years (including panel), and as per them, Sony charges around 15k.

I got the extended warranty from Bajaj Finance as I had taken the 0% interest loan from them. Had to pay Rs 5400 for 2 years extended warranty.

UPDATE: Regarding Wall Mount, mine looks exactly same, the vertical ones are connected to the TV and mounted.

@amul_capri,

I have different settings for each mode.
For USB I typically keep tweaking based on the movie I watch (Horror, Comedy, Action, 3D).
For TV I use the Auto setting with picture tweaks.
I will get a screenshot of the settings for you in the evening.

After tweaking I find the quality even better and my mom seems to enjoy the TV Soaps a lot more :)

Wasn't this tv launched elsewhere with some other model no?
Cannot find a single calibration setting info anywhere!!

My Settings for regular HD TV Watching
Pic Mode: Standard
Backlight: 6
Picture: 90
Brightness: 60
Color: 60

MPEG Noise Red: Auto
Dot Noise Red: Auto
Video Area Det: Off

I keep changing to Cinema and other settings based on Movie I watch.

Did you also calibrate the advance and 3d settings?
I tried youtube OU 3d Imax videos, but not too impressed. From what I heard OU is better for passive and SBS for active 3d.
Maybe I need to download full hd 3d demos.

I have seen YouTube videos downloaded for 3D and IMAX but not directly on app.

Have watched only Full HD on YouTube app.

As I said I keep calibrating based on the content I watch incl advanced settings but then again it all depends on light in room and type of content watched.
