I have thought of buying Skoda Rapid, but have read horrifying After Sale Service reviews about it.

If any of HFV member owns Skoda, can you pls. share your feedback on bangalore dealer ASS.

Our forum member Record Player probably owns a Skoda Rapid. Though, Skoda is trying to come up with initiatives for providing a better after-sales support, but how sincere is the company for the purpose, only time will tell. You can also browse teambhp for better response/ readings.

i have been an skoda fabia user for the past two years...excellent build quality and spacious interiors are its highlights...skoda's doors alone will speak of its amazing quality...due to solid build quality the cars stay planted on the road even while doing above 150kmph...
these are the pro's

CONS--
very expensive spare parts
WORST A.S.S (after sales service) you will ever find
so far i have spent around 54k in 2 years for my hatchback...had to replace break drum twice in a span of 2 years and company claims that is normal(wtf this is my 5th car and it is the 1st time am hearing that crap)
the people at service assumes skoda is in par with bentley and wants us to believe that and pay accordingly for the service!
overall skoda is an car company you can afford to NEVERMIND when you are looking to buy an reliable product!

lol yeah my car will be out for sale in the next 6 months...cant take the servicing issues anymore

Oh! Is that not all European cars seek expensive A.S.S.? Obviously no questions about the build quality. They are really good. But A.S.S. for European builds will always seek high maintenance cost. (as far as i read the reviews)

Hey sgmane - Like Saket pointed out, I am a happy Skoda owner, however I do not own a Rapid. I have an Octavia L&K 1.9TDi.

Now, there are hundreads on threads on how horrible the ASS of Skoda is. From the last 3 years I never visit any of the Skoda guys for service. I go to United Motors Bosch Service which is at West of Chord Road. Dhiren is the man who runs the show and attends to my car always personally. A lot of high end cars come to him especially after that 3 year period of a car.

I have personally been extremely passionate about cars from the last 20 years...in other words I pay a lot of attention on my driving, taking care of them and a whole lotta stuff. Maybe we can have a chat sometime on this as I can go on and on about this Octy beauty.

In my opinion, these cars are not designed for Indian Roads and its conditions. They have to be dealt with very differently. Example: This cars service is due once in 15000kms but I get a general checkup with air filter cleaning every 4500kms and change the Oils at 12500 and dont wait till the 15000kms mark.

Spares are quite expensive but with Bosch, it aint as expensive as the guys from Skoda Service.
