Vintage Nordmende Radiogram in pristine condition

I am very fortunate to have got a vintage Nordmende Radiogram about 6 months back. Though the cosmetics was near perfect, it was a real challenge to get it to function. It had several issues and needed to be taken to 4 different specialists for related issues to get it to work perfectly. This is my second Noemende Radiogram. The second one has everything original while my first one did not have original speakers . But I was able to replace the speakers with GEC oval speakers which I felt were as good if not better than the orinal speakers. The amazing thing about these radiograms is that it has internal antenna which makes it possible to get FM station without external antenna. All the valves are original telefunken or valvo Germany. I know these are quite rare in India and only the super rich could have brought them to India about 50 years ago. Another amazing fact is that I got both from my favorite hunting ground Trivandrum

Yes. I was very lucky to get it as one of the famous collectors of Radiograms was away and the seller asked if I wanted it and I grabbed it with a happily. It's sound quality is improving by the hour. I am certain it has not been used for 40 years or more. There is a different feel when you listen to music on Radiograms. Nostalgia perhaps.
