I called Mr Vijayan day before yesterday afternoon requesting for EP sleeves which I needed a lot.
He was very polite and agreed to send them to me. He also agreed to send me a sample of LP inner and outer sleeves.
I ordered 100 EP sleeves for 200/- and asked him to send it to me by registered post.
I sent my address by sms immediately and he sent me the banking details. By yesterday afternoon, my bank had approved him as a beneficiary.
He called me to tell that there was an issue at the post office and that they send by speed post only normally. He offered to give to DTDC instead so that it reaches faster not waiting for the post office system to become ok. He booked it with a postal charge of Rs 80. I transferred the payment to him after it.
I received the parcel this afternoon.
I wasn't at home but he was monitoring the delivery status and informed me that it had reached!
Outer envelope was written in very clear handwriting and it even had written on it in bold that it should not be bent.
Inside I found the 100 EP inner sleeves in another plastic covering (with him hand labelled it). He also sent me 5 LP inner/outer sleeves as samples which I found to be very good.
I called to thank him. He told me about how he is a LP collector himself and has a Technics TT. He gets them made from a friend.
I told him that I am more interested in 10" sleeves (inner/outer) and card board covers for my 78 rpms. He informs me that he is on the job for these and they will be available soon.
I am half hopping with joy to hear that (Almost no 78s I have came with sleeves and I have been making my own brown paper covers to keep them).
The over all experience was really amazing.
Mr Vijayan is doing an amazing service of very high quality and support. Hats off to him!
He is helping many protect their vinyls (and hope for the shellac enthusiasts is also there now!).
I wish him all the best in everything he does. I will definitely buy again from him and would recommend him to others also.
