wall mounting monitor audio BR1

people please help me in mounting my monitor audio BR1 bookshelf speaker on wall .i have two option
1)put a wooden walll shelf on both side of screen ..place the speaker on them
2)buy a bracket for hanging the same .but dont know which one will go with speakers also dont kow where i can get those

please suggest what to do?

Though on the Monitor Audio website there is a mounting instruction manual for this(http://ca2.monitoraudiocdn.com/down...ion/ma-speaker-mount.pdf?mtime=20140826143911) I would advise against mounting it on the wall as it is a rear ported speaker with 5 1/2" mid bass.

But if you really must, mount it using a bracket rather than shelf (another resonating surface to add to the problem). And more importantly, cut off the front main frequency response high (120 Hz or more if possible) to reduce booming from the front mains because of this placement. You already have a sub, so you won't miss anything.

I think only satellite speakers or those speakers specifically designed for wall mounting are meant to be wall mounted. Even on Monitor Audio website, when you filter products for on-wall placement, BR1 does not show up!

thanks aashish the link which u posted looks promising speaker looks exactly like BR1 with hole at the back ..where can i get that mechanism..?

Monitor audio dealer should have it. I'm sure other generic wall mounts should also work. Ask Denny at bass and treble. He deals in MA.

Hi Aashish the link which u posted of Amazon India . these mount can withstand the weight of stat elite speaker only I think and br1 weigh 8.4lb
