What device/HW to play/stream music from Hard disk

Hi,
Looking for suggestions on most convenient way to play music stored on Hard disk?

I can connect pen drives directly to my AVR or Fire TV but they likely don't support bigger hard disk. I don't want a PC running all the time and its not convenient either.

Currently I am using Amazon Music/Spotify to listen music via my FireTV box.

• NAS drive may be something I feel is what I'm looking for. Not sure if it would be money well spent, given that I probably wouldn't have more 1-2 HDD at most.
• Should I instead go for may be a Bluray player with support for HDD?

Looking for suggestions from FMs on what options I have and within reasonable budget.

You can either use a NAS drive, or an HDD connected to network streamers like "Bluesound Node 2i".
