What Hi Fi Show - Feb 2016 - Mumbai

A bit pre mature - but I just spent a few hours getting my Show Test CD's ripped.
I have made 4 so far. All in Wave.
Will also put them on a pen drive - so that I can use it for the room visits.
About 60 ++ songs - different genres...
I am so looking forward to this show.
It should be good.
Hope all FM's make it & that too on all days & get their own preferred software with them....

We had one in Kempinski last year I think.
Maybe it was 2014.
I am certain there will be more to come.
All said, this show in Mumbai is going to be a stonker of a Show.
I do hope all FM make it a point to visit. With their own software.

Denon is there for sure - KEI i.e.

The show may not live up to your expectations;
However, we must visit & support it.
If we Audio / Music lovers do not support such local events - how will the industry grow ? Hari, you should have taken part - kept your 300 B Amp & phase corrected speaker - what a huge audience you would have got.
Excellent platform to get noticed & also get press coverage in Magazine & TV etc.
Well that is a different story.
The issue - on hand - come to the show. It is local.
Support it.
Be a part of it.
Listen / See / Observe / Comment / Push & Motivate..
I shall try doing my part - I hope all other fellow audiophiles do the same....

I loved Friday.
Super Show.
Went for a Trinnov Seminar too.
I was satisfied with the goods & the set ups.
Lots of improvements.
Looking forward to Saturday.

Hi

I went for the show today around 230pm and got back a while back. IMHO most of those selling speakers were providing auditions of Dolby Atmos...attended a few here and there and found not much difference against the 5.1 or 7.1 or 7.2 setup which most of us are used to.

ELACs, Taga Harmony, Sonodyne etc were great......FairDeal had the JBLs running on a stereo setup. Each speaker costing a whooping 35 lakh each.....ofcourse the quality was great.....

Cinebels has the C series hooked up ....Acoustic Energy were there ,.....quite good....MZ had the Morels hooked up......Leviathan had Burmesters hooked up and they were awesome.....

In short...all high end gear and nothing much in the 50k segment if anyone is looking out for specific speakers.....

The What Hi Fi tag quality has gone down...last year it was card board plastic coated...this year its paper.....seems a lot of cost cutting in place......

Anyways....these are my views and i am sure the rest would have their own to share with the wider forum......

I could attend around 3 hrs today and I am very Happy with the way show is arranged.
Participants are doing their bests and also setups are perfectly kept for audition.
There are almost no room issues which was a trouble last year.Really enjoyed.
P could not complete it within 4 hours,so going again on Sunday.
