here in market i get iphone screen replacement in 3k so captivate will be approx 1k...i guess.
I dont think you would be able to get it in Rs 1000. I have purchased the screen for Samsung I9000 Galaxy S twice. Once I got it from ebay for around Rs 2500. Next time from a local seller for about Rs 4500. Never was the price as low as Rs 1000 or even 1500.
I checked the price on ebay and it is about 90 dollars and IMO it would be hard to find it cheaper than there. I do not know which iphone model are you comparing but amoled screens on galaxy models are costly since they have both the screen and digitiser embedded in them.
