Sorry if this looks like a repeat question, but I have been reading the whole morning on the forum, and am not quite clear as to which 2D LED TV is really recommended. All the talk seems to have turned towards 3D. My budget is 1 lakh (or less). Would prefer 42-47 inch. Would be grateful if forum members could enlighten me on this.

Thanks

Anyone?

May I add I would also like to connect it to my HTPC, so would 100Hz be absolutely essential?

.. And why not 3D, specially if it does play the 2D content quality as well ... ??? For 1L you will easily get a quality 3D and a 2D LED .....

In your budget you can get a lovely LG-47LW5700! I think it retails for 1L! It has excellent 2D and passive 3D support! and with Smart TV you can watch youtube and all also.

Also heard there is an android app by which you can control the Smart TV functionality which is just so cool!!

LG 42W6500 vs LG 47W5700

I guess you are right, I could go for 3d even if I don't need it so now the question is whether LG 42W6500 or LG 47W5700? I am tempted by 200Hz and 900000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and higher motion clarity index of 6500 but then more real estate (47 vs 42) is also tempting. On seeing the two in the showroom I couldn't really tell the difference. So are the features of 6500 really worth forgoing the extra screen size of 5700?

Hello everyone

have another question, I just saw that letsbuy is advertising 42LW6500 for 84,100. Sound very good but if one buys online what does one do about installation (I want to go for wall mounting) does LG send someone for installation in this case? Do they charge for it, and how does one go about contacting the company in such a case?
