Which amp to choose ?

The power supply of an AVR is usually not good enough unless it is one of the high end ones which of course would be several times more expensive. a 3 channel or 5 ch power amp will of course be a very different deal but the usual feature crammed AVRs were never even meant to be played with a really good stereo setup unlike a 2 channel amo which is designed to do just that,

unless the stereo amp really sucks or the AVR is really high end you will always do better with even an amp costing 1/2 or less of the AVR.

Nice system. I have the same LP storage box. Spincare, right ? Just love them. Hegel power amp on focal speakers must be super tight, clean sound. The esoteric pre amp must be keeping those signals firing straight at the amp with pin point accuracy!
