Thanks again DB1989, will surely see it . Heard it was 100 hours of playback for break in.


Acted on the advice from FM's & later on instinct between Rel 1205 & 1508 since the 15 inch was supposed to be more faster & articulate. To avoid buyers remorse went for the 15 inch. Regarding placement, I am limited on that since it can be moved just a few inches here or there. It does not look very imposing in the room just more broader & deeper than the PC 2000 & . But may look smaller & weigh less than the PB 2000.

Will surely let you know Aman, waiting for it to break in properly. But the review will be from a home user layman's point of view rather than an expert's who will be able to optimise it much further.
Have observed so far that it plays louder than before at the same volume level after a few days.

The exploring days are fun, yes got 2x S2 subs which are awesome for music, for HT use they are decent but heard very good things about the HT Series. Enjoy your Tuning time

Hi Friends,

I needed your advice on this. I know that auditioning is the best way to go but due to the ongoing covid conditions, it may not be possible to do that.
Currently I am having the SVS PC 2000 & I am very much satisfied with it for movies & it's decent for music though may not be like a sealed sub.
Although it occupies very less floor space it is tall & is big for the room (14 feet L X 11 ft W X 11 ft H.)

Hence I would be going for a sub with a smaller form factor & reasonably light in weight (less than 35 kgs) to shift it just in case (looks like age is catching up). The above mentioned subs are on my list & I am open to other brands as long as they sound good for movies & music as my preference for both is 50:50. I don't mind sealed or ported as long as they sound good for both. I do understand I may not get the best of both but somewhere close is also fine.

I know that the SB 3000 would go much lower down but I am assuming that the quality & articulation of the bass in the Rel may better( I may be wrong on this). Hence I don't mind sacrificing low frequency extension for that. I have heard a lot of good reviews about the Rythmiks, but the good ones seem big & heavy. If there is a smaller one which can pressurize the room size then great. The above subs are in a similar price bracket. Thank you.

if you dont want all that headache. Just buy any subwoofer once do subwoofer crawl while moving the sub on front wall, find which area has best bass. then you can buy dirac live it will do everything for you. Its worth every penny trust me.

Other subs to consider are Arendal(10 year warranty and better build with HDF) , PSA, Rythmic, HSU, too. Pls take a look at these subs too if they work out cheaper.
The HT 1508 is good enough for music for my tastes and movies. Though I presume The T and S series would be better for music.
I needed a sub which would balance both.

Yes, in Hyderabad there is a dealer since an Fm from Hyderabad bought it and is very happy with it. Also Prosonics in B'lore.
I would seriously consider an Arendal since sound qualitywise, it is supposed to be very good with better build quality than Rel & generally comes with a 10 year warranty which speaks about their confidence in their product.
