This thread I specifically made to get to know from various forum members to get their preference which will help new members and buyers to buy accordingly

Hope this helps..!!

Since only 10 poll options are available so decided to go with the popular ones only like Panasonic Plasma , Panasonic 3D Plasma , Samsung 3D , Samsung LED , Samsung Plasma , LG Cinema 3D , LG LED , Sony 3D , Sony LED. Others (LG Plasma , Philips , Sharp , Toshiba , Videocon etc.)

It would be great if you also justify why you have selected this one or these ones as I have given option for multiple answers also

Sony and LG is coming up with 240 Hz 3D panels which are almost flicker free and 0 cross talk ,bot i don't find any such development info about Samsung and Panasonic

I request moderators to make this thread sticky so that we can collect maximum votes for better solutions.. @mods ..

I prefer LG Cinema 3D LED TV.

Plasma and my requirements do not match at all(Even though it might be better in the picture quality).

Reasons for not going for plasma:

1) Price
2) Power consumption
3) Not suitable for continues watching(Some times I will pause the ps3 games for hrs and come back and resumes play with the TV screen still on).
4) Plasma TV is very heavy.
5) Speed of the picture while playing games.
6) Life of the TV.

I watched LG Cinema 3d and it was amazing with zero eye strain.

I have a Panny 50st30, and my friend has a sammy40d8000. I love the picture quality of my panny hands down. Plasma looks very natural. Led looks very bright and colorful, but not natural.
And the motion Interpoliation in those sammys (I hated them). I usually turn off the interpolations and watch at 24fps, and I love it that way. IMHO, Plasma looks great compared to LED.

Yeah you r very rite. Plasma TV looks so natural. When I switch my Plasma TV with HD channel I think that I am in heaven. What a natural color with great uniformity of contrast.

Reasons for not going for plasma:

1) Price
Kindly explain this - are you suggesting LEDs are cheaper than Plasmas? If yes, please share the comparison for right models.

2) Power consumption
Agreed. However the difference is very less for actual usage over years.

3) Not suitable for continues watching(Some times I will pause the ps3 games for hrs and come back and resumes play with the TV screen still on).
So you will leave the same image ON for hours - this can damage LEDs as well.

4) Plasma TV is very heavy.
Not sure if you have to carry it every other day - you either mount it or place it on a table etc.

5) Speed of the picture while playing games.
Plasmas have better motion 600 Hz onwards and are more suitable for playing games and watching sports etc.

6) Life of the TV.

Nowadays both Plasmas and LEDs have 100,000 hrs life.

I own Samsung PS51E550, but feel below brands are better when it comes to:

3D TV: LG
Plasma TV: High end Panasonic
LED TV: Sony

Looking at the current polls ans it has boiled down to
1. Panasonic Plasma
2. SONY LED
3. LG 3D

These are the best ones indeed.!!

All preference at the end boils down to price. VFM is what is prefer the most

Panasonic Plasma/3D wins hands down............enough has been discussed already why they are better than the LED/LCD camp. My pick definitely Panasonic!!!

plasmas pricey than led:o...can you specify models

power consumption---have you caclculated exactly how much rupees will more on a real time basis?

@sudhishkv, I don't know whether you are reading this thread at all. I don't know what gives you the idea that plasma is costlier. Size per size, feature per feature, quality per quality, plasma comes out way superior and cheaper. I purchased my own 50ST50 for 105k. It is ranked as the best tv by cnet. Tell me which Lg cinema 3d model comes even close to the quality and at this size, at this price?
