@DABI am happy that I suggested Mr V to join this esteemed forum, coz as soon as I looked at his collection (in pics that he had shared) I was like, why on earth he isn't part of HFV...
His passion for the magnetic music is nothing I have ever seen with anyone... The amount that he has invested is mind boggling...
I am no audiophile just the type who loves to listen to music but doesn't spend on it much..
For me a DDD Emi cd used to be a dream, never thought the magnetic tapes could be so good that people would be investing so much time, effort and resources into them.
I do own quite many tapes and cds but unfortunately nothing to play them, May be I ll hunt for something decent as well...
I have stopped visiting this thread purely out of jealousy () seeing those awesomely maintained machines, and imagining how great they would be sounding...
Again All the best to you @Analogue_Avenger just wish that you get enough time daily to enjoy them and appreciate the bliss of great audio apart from the sense of possession of such great equipments.

Well most of the people today who are into IEM and headphones just can't understand the sheer pleasure of listening to music when it fills the air around you, when it gives the utter satisfaction that all your efforts bore fruit and you have the equipment to listen to the music just the way it pleases your senses...@DAB
Thanks for advising me to join HiFi Vision. It helps me to make my family and brother understand that it ain’t crap what i am spending and investing time and money.

Last night I was listening to the songs of Razia Sultana and thatof Umrao Jaan (after very long.. I listen to practically all kinds of music from Indian classical to western classical and everything in between) you won't believe I literally cried at the richness of that sort of music (though I was lisneing to my own small setup of google chromecast audio + fosi amp and Sony speakers).. The way the music was surrounding me, the way it was making me feel it, the way it made me wish what kind of bliss Khayyam must have got composing such rich rich songs....
May be your brother thinks differently about the expenses over the equipments, but its all worth...
When I was studying in college, I used to give tuitions and bought my own hi fi system @20k in 1998, and I never regretted my decision even for a second.. My brother too used to complain to the family about my exorbitant expenses just on music tapes and cds.. Lol still own like 600 to 700 collective tapes and cds...
So don't worry... But what I feel is we should enjoy our purchases and shouldn't invest just for the heck of it...
@sbg,That's a lot to digest! I'll give up looking at this thread.
Just eager to know what is the day to day go to gear currently, and are these still on Tapes ?
I still use casette once a while.
I suggest you should have an audiophile meet in Delhi at your house. Lot of knowledge sharing and spreading the goodness will happen. Thanks for your kind words, You ate always welcome to join me for a coffee and listen to nirvana music. I would appreciate and enjoy the music with you.
Dear All,Apne meri muh ki baat chin lee!
His collection is truly a "neighbor's envy, owners pride" collection.
What I miss in todays gear is the lack of VU / spectrum meter, I hope others follow the footsteps of NAD like they did with their C3050LE
On another note, a rough cost break up would be nice!)
Do you have any birthmark or a tattoo ? Can you sing "Yadon ki baraat"?
