Hello Experts,
May I request for your advice on Wireless Speakers: Upto 10K - 50k.

A Lavalier microphone that could connect to these speakers.

And possibly an audio recorder that could be used with the above combination.

Requirement is for a recording session, perhaps something like a classroom for upto 50- 100 ppl.

For the video a handy cam exists.

Please help me people..

Thanking all...DD

You cannot connect a microphone to speakers: stuff has to come between the two.

eg mic -->mixer with pre-amp --> power amp -->speakers

What you need is a "PA system"

A Lavalier microphone ... do you mean the small, clip-on type that one sees on TV broadcasts? ouch... these are expensive!

In fact, all of this kind of gear is rather pricey. Bringing wireless anything (wireless mics I know of, not sure about wireless speakers) will greatly increase the price.

You could start browsing here (although it is a UK company, it'll give you a good idea) to get an idea of the market. You will find portable units, with built-in mixer and amplifier, that should be in your budget, but everything will be wired.

Thanks.. I was under the impression that these Lavalier mic (transmiter) would connect to the wireless speaker (receiver) in some way..

Please correct if that is not possible..

I will check the link you shared, as I am not sure what a PA system is.

Well, yes on the Lavalier mic, you are correct, the ones you see during TV Broadcast, or collar clips..

Thank you for your time and directions.

"PA" stands for "Public Address" --- I guess it dates from the use of speakers to make announcements. It has now come to mean the kind of sound system to broadcast sound or music in a large auditorium or public space.

If your need is for a one-off, or even for occasional events, you'd probably do better to hire man+sound-system.

I think you are right... What I do need is a PA system.
However, since I am not familiar with the technicalities, I feel I'm darting questions in the dark.

I think this seems to be close...

YouTube - ‪Portable 100w music & wireless PA system.‬‏

In this short video, they showed a Transmitter - but mentioned receiver, I couldn't follow that..

But I think this shows a possibility of (Transmitting) voice from Lavalier over to the speaker.

Still one doubt though...
For a typical classroom recording, Video recording is from a camcorder.. (ignore voice).

From the transmitting mic (lavalier), somehow record voice.. via software edit the video.

mic and aPA system would be good.

What do you think?

Even though many mobile phones can record with better quality than quite expensive cassette recorders of a decade ago, microphones and sound equipment still have a strong price/quality relationship! Do you really need radio mic? Do you really need miniaturised mics? These things are increasing the cost even further. If the purpose is the recording, do you really need the amplification and the speaker?

If all you want is better sound on your video, you could buy one of these and plug it into your camera. I've had one for years: never used it with a video, but used to use it with mini-disc and the quality is pretty good. The only problem with this type of mic is that it is made for the "plug-in-power" mic sockets (usually with red colour code) found on domestic kit, and is pretty useless for pro kit.
