Xiaomi to launch Mi TV Q1 75" on 23rd March - QLED, 192 Zones, 120Hz

It has no issues with PS5. Just checked. I can tell you what that guy did. He used a 1080p fire stick along with a 4k PS5. Most TV go blank.
Ah... Hah.. one comment said the same... If its the idiots mistake of setting it up... how TV would be a culprit..
BTW, this TV is getting a lot of backlash for the next gen console compatibility. I on the other hand feel graphically intense games will never run at 4k & 120 at same time..
Here's a video of MI QLed 75 uploaded by me
That looks sweet! source of the video? Youtube or usb file? If file, Bitrate details?

Apparently except for the size and ofcourse price Sony 8000H cannot be compared with this TV
Sony 9000+ series is great. This one is just an ok tv as it has artificial colours.(edit) Oh forgot to add 8000h ain't no FALD also.

Just youtube, 720p video. My net was slow so couldn't steam over that.
Regarding gaming performance: 4k 60 fps / 1440@120fps will be enough for me. Plus I am not a gamer anymore. No use of VRR for PS5.

Sony 8000H is very old. Non FALD that means elevated blacks on HDR. Even 9000H is only 500-600 nits, I think 950H is good ( 1000 nits) , though it suffer from Blooming but it 2.5 -2.7 lakhs.

HDR performance video added. This one is phenomenal. Night time, pitch black room. Notice the brightness jumps. Notice the color volume too. And even notice the deep blacks even at peak brightness.

Can someone upload a SD/DTH channel quality performance video. I know it wont look good, but just wondering how bad it will be on a big screen.

@vikrantxtrad can you run through these scenes in pitch dark room and tell how the set's FALD algorithms handles it in blooming, black level, backlight fluctuations etc.

I played all of these right now. Didn’t take a video since too much ambient light coming from the balcony. Will take the videos at night.

The moving pixel video - I counted 24 x 7-8 dimming zones. There is definitely some blooming around the moving pixel around each zone but it’s fairly limited, the rest of the panel remains dark. The FALD algorithm is a little janky though, it does fire all zones sometimes when the moving pixel is on the extreme edge of the panel but not always. There is also quite a lot of motion judder with the pixel moving. Is this because the YouTube video is 24fps?

The fireworks video - there is minimal blooming behind each firework explosion. I think it is well balanced, not too bright causing blooming or too dim causing black crush.

Grey uniformity - I ran a different video for for grey uniformity and my unit looks very good. I could find any clouding or patches.

Color banding - I can notice quite a bit of color banding in black and white and color test YouTube videos. Don’t know if this is because of YouTube or the tv.

Can someone share links to offline high res files for panel testing which I can check And share results? Also I’m a noob when it comes to evaluating panels so any advice on what to test and look for in the videos would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input. My Toshiba U7980 struggled with the Fireworks video so good to hear Xiaomi fared well. Now I can finally settle for Q1 when it gets available. Regarding test pattern, you can try using the content in this drive folder, that someone posted in avsforum. It's has some good tests.

You can use these videos to check for vertical banding and dse

General query I ordered thru hdfc 12 months emi and Rs.102452.72 was charged on my credit card. I understand that as I continue to pay 15% for the entire period of 12 months I'd end up paying 120000. But what if I foreclose and pay the bank upfront? Anyone has any experience?

I spoke with HDFC credit card department a week or so ago, the lady said you can close it sooner, you'll be charged 3% on the total outstanding principal for early foreclosure if it's not a merchant emi.

If it's a merchant emi, which is when flipkart or Amazon or hdfc offers the emi to you, then there is no early closure charge. Do double check with hdfc support yourself.

Thank you. The EMI was done in the mi website itself so it probably is merchant EMI. They say some technical terms like 'when you choose to preclose your emi you'd be charged prorata interest for the remaining time till your booking cycle'. Don't understand what it means. If anyone understand please explain
