I don't think we need any additional software for it.Oh okay but there is no software for Dolby Atmos in TV. Don't we need software too?

I spoke to Oneassist and they confirmed that they are official partner to MI. So I am going with Oneassist. Also, getting it 2yr for ~10k which is not bad IMO.I looked at the FAQs of Oneassist and it doesn't cover MI products

Onsitego looks good to me. Let me do further research.
Ok but if your tv doesn't support atmos then Netflix won't show Dolby Atmos symbol, then I am sure we cannot get Atmos output from Netflix.I don't think we need any additional software for it.
Till when can we take it after purchase?I looked at the FAQs of Oneassist and it doesn't cover MI products

Isn't it common wisdom to avoid 3rd party service contracts and go with manufacturer extended warranty only.. Due to reliability? Or is it not true for some 3rd party extended services? Why?Got a 4 year quote from Gowarranty for 19.5K which I think is a good deal. Repair or replace or reimburse with the fair market value of a similar specification TV at that time (in case repair or replacement not possible)
I have one more query for owners who have been using this tv. While both HDR and Dolby vision content look pretty good ( infact the control over highlights are excellent) , I still am finding issues with HD content. Be it HD channels like NGC or Start Sports or OTT streaming of HD movies , the bright scenes are just way overexposed. I tried reducing backlight level and also brightness level without much success. Is anybody having similar issues. Am I missing out on something
Your sound bar led will indicate Atmos . According to my research most of the Dolby Atmos sound bars anyways are gimmicky unless it is a high end one ( even then your ceiling should be not more than 9-10 feet). Please correct if am wrong but isn't 90 % of content on Netflix n other streaming apps are 5.1 . So instead why not invest in a good 5.1 soundbar ...Ok but if your tv doesn't support atmos then Netflix won't show Dolby Atmos symbol, then I am sure we cannot get Atmos output from Netflix.
I've even seen some 2.0/2.1 soundbars adding a tiny upward-firing driver and calling it Atmos. Some claim Atmos even without an upward-firing driver and just delivering 'virtual atmos' which is pure marketing.Your sound bar led will indicate Atmos . For new consumer electronics and appliances, you can buy the Extended Warranty Pro+ plan within 180 days of purchase of new product.Till when can we take it after purchase?
We don't know what happened, I am sure MI will replace that. This is not good. And here starts the cheap Chinese product discussion
EW is must buy with MI TVUnfortunate....but I feel this is sheer luck . While Samsung , LG and Sony might have better quality control , for me I have seen one Samsung panel lasting a decade bought in 2008 and another one going bust just after 1 year .
That's where extended warranty I feel becomes all the more important for panels worth over a lakh of rupees (irrespective of the brand).
You are 100% right. Audio solutions are like a riddle inside a mystery wrapped in an enigma - the higher you spend the more complex space constraints can become and may disturb the neighbours and family members. You'd have to fix accoustics too. The so called expensive Atmos soundbars with their upward firing mechanisms might cost 65+ and might just give you goosebumps during a Mission impossible BGM. It is better to go for HTIB 5.1 solution.Your sound bar led will indicate Atmos . Most budget/ bundled home theatre system below 50 lakh are just decent and won't provide a complete satisfactory experience. Things really turn around in 50+ to 2 lakh budget. I personally feel HT should be built in parts and not bought as a bundle. In my case I first got the reciever and tower speares . Then the subwoofer and later the center channel and rear speakers. I am yet to buy Atmos speakers. You are 100% right. My Sony HTRT3 for 19k does a fine job so far with my LG cx. And there is a Sony IV 300 with a little bit of messy wiring for 23k (flipkart) with dts compatible surround sound that will do for most human ears what a 1 lakh worth of budget cost cutting adhoc home theater setup can sound(Denon 250bt based ones with book shelves and subwoofer). For a even lesser price for 14k there is a Sony Hts20r which is entry level and might not be that satisfying. There are choices that's all. It's a needle in a haystack find to get the right one that can satisfy you till the end. You might end up becoming a audiophile.
Do you have a link to official specs where it shows it can do Dolby Atmos Passthrough? I am trying to find it to double confirm, before i finalize a 3.1.2 atmos or a 5.1 soundbar. It should work. The TV's specifications mention "Dolby Atmos passthrough eARC"
Where did you buy the TV from? MI or FK? Can this EW be availed after the installation? Also, who is the service partner?I got a call from the MI service partner for Demo/Installation today. i enquired about the Extended warranty. It sems, they are providing cost effective warranty plan. as per him the EW package worth ~1500/- would cover Panel for 2+1 years and other Electronics hardware would be covered for 1+1 years.
Relax, just watched the hulk on my cx lg and the judder is present . Wont term it a lot but is easily noticable. Unless you get this on other movies , forget it.When watching Incredible Hulk on PrimeVideo, at about 00:03:15 there is a scene which pans over a town with lot of houses. It has lot of judder with Motion smoothing Off, so i tried different Motion Smoothing Options(Clear, Standard, Smooth) but none of it seemed good and the frames seem to stutter(if thats the right term for this effect)
What are the best settings to smoothen something like this? Is it the inbuilt prime video app may be?
I normally dont like motion smoothing as i mostly watch movie content, i think i see the judder sometimes though not a pain , but this particular scene looked real bad.
No problem. Once you finalize a soundbar, please let us know which soundbar did you choose.Do you have a link to official specs where it shows it can do Dolby Atmos Passthrough? I am trying to find it to double confirm, before i finalize a 3.1.2 atmos or a 5.1 soundbar.
Edit: Found it, never mind. It does mention atmos passthrough.
