I received it today after 14 days since I bought from eBay. in. I tried various audio and video files and the sound and video quality is impressive. For the first time since I bought my receiver, it showed DTS-HD Master when I played a blue ray sample filed downloaded from the net.

The dolby demo clip which the ps3 was not able to play(no sound), was able to play with the xtreamer with amazing quality. Very happy with the product.

so you are using HDMI (1.3/1.4?) cable or component cable( YPbPr 5) for Xtreamer to your tv ?

I have used HDMI 1.3 for both Xtreamer to AVR and AVR to TV. I couldn't try any Dolby TrueHD since i don't have a sample. When I tried the dolby demo, all the 7.1 channels were active also shown as active in the AVR.

Onlything i couldn't get to work is the windows file sharing. I have win7 and want to shared the directory with xtreamer.

These steps should fix the issue:

1. Click Start, enter "Network and Sharing Center" in the Start Search box .
2. Click "Change advanced sharing settings" in the left pane.
3. Make sure that "Password protected sharing" is turned off.

I got my New XMP with wifi antenna and free hdmi cable from ebay at 8990 after a long wait. The firmware was 2.3.5 in factory fitted XSW, i immediately upgraded to 2.4.2 :licklips::licklips:.
I played Youtube videos with the help of wifi antenna, it really upscaled for a display on a CRT monitor and the buffering was very little. But there is some problem as it hangs when i try to rewind the video content. I have to switch off directly then.

@sharjun . I got it during deals of the week in first week of Oct, but the product was out of stock and ebay seller had to procure from Taiwan. The offer on ebay was @8990 with wifi. Due to late shipping i got an HDMI chinese made cable free.

I am using Samsung Flatron CRT, connected via Video(Yellow cable). The youtube videos what i played(some 1080p), did play streaming to my surprise :yahoo::yahoo: This was better than YPbPr connection output by the looks of it. The sound was amazing too. It plays all important HD formats like m2ts, mkv, BD ISO. They are coming up with firmware 3.0 sooner than later which will have Opera Browser and lot many features. This player is best in the league with its continued support as compared to WD, Play on etc. True value for money. Size is also compact!:clapping::clapping:

Are u streaming files from ur laptop/desktop to the xtreamer?

It has analogue audio out that can be fed to AV IN of CRT TV.

If you purchase AVR in future, you could use digital out like HDMI / SPDIF from the same device.

Well i had actually seen Xtreamer in one of my friends place and was amazed with the features and the quality. The price was little high when i first perceived it to be. But with other competitors like WD, Play on, ZInwell etc coming into the market the Xtreamer price has been reduced a bit. But the most important deciding factor was the Support from the Xtreamer company. They invest a lot into the Firmware releases and address any issues with their previous releases. So i found this more worthy than others.

I am streamting files from Network sharing and an Exrernal HDD. The wifi is a real good thing that they have provided. It plays HD videos streaming beautifully on a CRT

Looks really promising with some added features over the Xtreamer like 1.4a , Facebook access, Netflix, programmable remote etc. at 199 in USD its decently priced and with a wifi antenna would be tempting deal. But we will have to wait and watch for formware 3.0 with XM which can have more capabilites

Any idea whats the price in India if its launched?

Stupid question,but can it be placed on it's side(i.e. horizontally).My TV cabinet doesn't have enough place to stand it vertically(as shown in all the ads,video reviews).

Can anyone tell whats the best place to buy Xtreamer pro other than the company? or in simple words is there any place where I can get Xtreamer Pro for less than Rs 14500+400, the price quoted on their site? Unfortunately i did not find one cheaper on ebay too. ebay the same is quoted for about 14K without USB antenna which makes it expensive than the company.

Any ideas guys? or the company price is the best? Where all you guys have been getting it from?
