I have xT Pro. I installed 2.4 RC3 B20 ( upgrade version)
Navigation is slow
HD audio is being passed through for some sample files.
I dont have movies so I tested it with some sample files. Half of them works and half of them does not work. xT hangs and restarts automatically. I don't have mood to post feedback on their stupid forum.
Guess, I will upgrade to emergency firmware of 2.4 RC3 in free time and then I'll test again.

Hi guys...Ive got my Xtreamer Sidewinder thro ebay...just starting to use it. Fixed a seagate 500GB HDD to it...So far havent played any HD movies but will surely do so asap. But i must say im pretty pleased with this Media player! Thanks to all on this lovely forum for their valuable inputs.

Who finds the Xtreamer TOO buggy?? I mean, does your Xtreamer SW freeze/hang regularly??
I am using an EMERGENCY firmware. Does updating to the SAME version of update firmware (but not the emergency version) make a difference to the stability??

not really. Either use upgrade version or emergency version, xTremer Pro does hang in some use cases. Besides, for few people HD-Audio does not come on latest beta, which is the case with me after moving to emergency version.

well, it still beta, so lets hope that these issues are fixed in future.

and now i have C-200

and to my experience C-200 is the best both hardware and firmware wise

I purchased the Sidewinder few weeks back. HD videos are great, but i'm not able to see anything in xtreamer Live and Xtreamer Internet radio.

I'm using Sify Broadband and I'm not able to configure, can any one using Sify BB and Xtreamer let me know how to configure Xteamer.

Posting after quite some time here. Not much developments on Xtreamer till recently.
Upgraded to 2.4 RC3 yesterday. I have the original Xtreamer 2.5

I must say that the new movie jukebox has come out really well. Of course there are glitches occasionally, but is expected to be sorted out by final firmware (stable) release. It is really a great experience to see the movie cover wall, posters, synopsis etc. I ran the online scan for the Jukebox, and it acquired information for about 50 movies.

I have some experience earlier on PC with XBMC and Media Portal, and I must say that for a dedicated small box, Xtreamer has really some out well with the Juke box.

One issue is that I am not getting multi channel sound (earlier same files played multi-channel - like DTS, Dolby Digital etc.). I think this is a firmware issue, and may sort out in final stable release.

If you wish to experience the new features, you can upgrade now, it is fairly workable. If you wish to play safe, I hope the final stable version will be out soon.

Hi,

In my experience, I found the Xtreamer to be very stable, I cannot recollect when it hanged last. Of course, the new firmware 2.4 RC3 is a beta, and there are a few glitches. However, in general, all stable releases are ... yeah stable !!, at least I had no issues.

I hAVE started using the Xtreamer with the pen drive, now I wanted to connect the xtreamer to the PC as you said. Can you tell how to configure on both ends.
I already have configured the ethernet card for SIFY Broadband which is inbuilt in the motherboard, i'm having a spare PCI ethernet card, I installed this card and i'm not able to configure it as there are lot of confusion regarding default gateway, shared hard disk etc.

Hi,

Instead of a built-in additional Ethernet card, if you can use an external router, there is very little configuration needed to be done. It almost works by itself.

All issues are solved. 2.4.0 Release version looks much more stable. I can see pass through happening for all HD-audio sample files. Except dts-HD MA, all are working flawless. dts-HD MA works, but audio/video both clutters.

I have not yet upgraded for latest jukbox(1.30) as many people are facing problem with it. I am still with Jukebox 1.30

Look forward to receive your comments on playing full BD rip streaming thru HTPC to xtreamer... I am using NAS(2TB hard disk) and it is stuttering... But same contents played in 1TB-External hard disk is playing well...

i am planning to upgrade to the latest firmware, but in the last 10 months of usage i have not faced any issues regarding the xtreamer hanging or getting stuck, it has played every damm thing i have thrown at it, through external hdd, usb, lan or wireless.

Overall i am 95% satisfied with the product, i deduct 5% because the company cheated the original buyers of the product by not giving 7.1 out , which they gave on this years model.

even with the previous firmware this was not an issue. from NAS -> xtreamer. therefore froma pc, it should be absolutely no problems. my rips have been mostly with core audio. have not run a full HD (vid+Aud) rip yet

vice versa has also not been a problem, have played high video bitrate movies stored on the xtreamer streamed to my drawing room HTPC. no stutters.

for me, the videos from youtube are stuttering a lot. Seem to run better on laptop.

installed the new firmware after installing the emergency firmware,the startup is pretty fast now and the shutdown is also good, its working well, i have not been able to do much with the media jukebox though, need to spend some time on the same

We purchased five xtreamer sidewinder for our group from Xtreamer India. the device was despatched immediately after receipt of payment with updated firmware and received by us after one day.
