YAMAHA KX-493 Stereo Cassette Deck on Opinion/Thoughts

Folks,
As there many music / tech enthusiasts here I hope many can give me some opinion & thoughts on this tape deck. Any thought/opinion will be highly appreciated.

I've never used Yamaha but I've heard from friends that their cassette decks were quite good.

The transport is a basic 2 head transport, electronic features are good (typical of modern decks), seems like a budget to mid end machine.

Hi

I have used this cassette deck years ago and it is one of the best decks ...the play trim control is awesome and it restores clarity to cassettes which are worn out.

The rec in feature also is good, the level setting knobs are very very precise and accurate.
