Yamaha RX-A840 versus the RX-A1040

Honestly the specs seem rather close in my uneducated eyes. Could someone spell out in layman terms what the benefit of getting he higher model is please. I am trying to figure out whether it's worth the additional money and good value in general. I assume these have got good reviews and will be OK models for movie watching only.

Looks like RX A 1040 has few additional features like built in HD Radio Tuner,
Multi room HDMI output... Otherwise, they are evenly matched....

I think you are better off with RX A 840... Btw how much is the price difference?
