You may be surprised!! I paid Rs.40

It includes 3 Beatles / 2 Foreigner / 3 Chopin / 20 Russian prints in mint and lot more rare albums, which otherwise I would not have come across

OMG!!! That's killer pricing in these modern times, a sure ripper win!! :clapping:

Reminds me of an incident when I used to live in Chennai, I saw a Lionel Richie - Can't Slow Down LP on ebay.in, pegged at Rs.500/-. I had decided to buy it but in the mean time, I got the opportunity to visit Moore Market to buy some footwear and ended finding a shop with LPs stacked. Was lucky to find the same LP there and ended up buying it for Rs.50/- (which was the price he asked for, and I did not bargain). This was in 2007. Over my 2 year stay there I was able to some more LPs for 50 bucks each, including MJ's BAD CBS-India pressing.

Dear Reuben,

In that same lot, I was lucky to get hold of some EXX condition Lionel Richie/ Frank Sinatra/Lata Mangeshkar Live at Albert Hall/Zubin Mehta/Doris Day/Disco Dancer/Kraftwerk/Dr.Hook and the most wanted Pink Floyd Meddle (bootleg).

This pricing also includes your wish list, The Burning Train..

But the most disappointing thing is, I couldn't spot any Ben-Hur :(

I have got some records that made me go yahoo :yahoo:

First, I got set of Elvis Presley LPs from shafic.

And today I got another much wanted set of records.

One of my colleagues was in the US for past few months and on my request got some records I bought on ebay in US there.

I have been looking everywhere for a Patsy Cline LP as I am a big fan of hers but it was nowhere to be found here. I got one LP of hers for 6.1$

The second is another gratifying acquisition. Its a Reader's Digest collector's edition titled The Unforgettable Jim Reeves comprising of six LPs which I was able to get on ebay for 10.62$

Strangely, the Patsy LP cover had a back cover advertising a Reader's Digest collector's edition with 100 symphonies which they took out in 1986!

I wish more of my friends would do this great service for me
God bless my colleague and those who do such nice things in the future :D

When do I get to see these?! Be careful with me around the Doris Day LP though. I have resisted becoming a kleptomaniac since birth but one never knows :D

So far I could get hold of 3 Doris Day LPs and one 10 Inch..

I think you were asking me to find Usha Uthup..I found one, with the cover in extremely bad condition, through the vinyls is quite playable.. I was told , Usha Uthup (Nairobi concert Live recording)vinyls seems to be a highly sought after ones, in Calcutta market.

Thou Art lucky!!

Just curious .. Your dad is an ATM (or) that ever gifting Santa Claus :)

In our times of late teen , whenever i asked my dad to buy an LP he would respond back in a flash laced with his signature frown "Get me a report card with 1st rank, I would buy you 10" .

Alas those Jesuits never certified me as No.1 !!
