Is QA3050i an upgrade or side grade from Kef Q350 with a sub for a 15x12 room?

I have always wanted a Tower Speaker. I am getting a great deal on the QA3050i demo model at 45k, which is barely used. I loved the sound at the dealer. I am looking for validation of whether it is an upgrade, a side grade, or altogether avoidable. Stereo Amp is NR1200.

Ask if you can have a demo of the speaker at your house with your equipment. If it sounds like a big enough improvement then go for it.

There are various aspects in listening pleasure like imagine, sound stage or instrument seperation and some of us are more sensitive to one or another. I found that, in some cases, tower speakers are better at seperation than the book shelf counterparts and the towers have a better soundstage overall. This is so personal and only the buyer can know what they are after. I have friends who swear on book shelves for their superior imaging, ease of placements and support upgraditis better !!
