Hi everyone,

I’m building a personal dedicated home theater in a medium-sized room and could really use help finalizing the speaker configuration, subwoofer pairing, amplification, and layout for a killer 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos setup. I’ve done some research, but I want expert opinions before pulling the trigger.

Room Details
Dimensions: 21’4” (L) × 11’ (W) × 10’ (H)

Seating:
Front: Lounge bed on the floor (first row)
Rear: 1ft-high riser with second row seating (against rear wall)

Projector: Planning on using ViewSonic X10-4K+ (already own it)
Use: 80% movies/TV, 20% music
Acoustic Treatment: Will be added post speaker selection
Budget: Thinking 10-12 Lakhs. Not sure if I have to stretch

My Main Goals
Fully immersive Atmos experience
Deep, clean, room-filling bass
Clean aesthetics & hidden wiring

Questions I’d Love Your Help With
Speaker Placement & Configuration
For this room size, is 7.2.4 optimal or overkill?

With a riser at the back, what's the best rear surround placement strategy?
What’s the ideal distance from the front wall for LCR speakers?
For Atmos: go with built-in modules on towers or separate ceiling speakers?

Speaker Brand Choices
Torn between:

Klipsch RP-8000F II (high output, horn-loaded)
KEF Q11 Meta or R7 Meta (Uni-Q clarity & soundstage)? R7 Meta seemed pretty expensive
Which one offers better cinematic immersion in this room size?
Are matching center channels absolutely critical, especially if one has slightly lower wattage than fronts?
Any problem with mixing brands (e.g., KEF fronts + Klipsch surrounds)?

Subwoofer Strategy:
Planning dual subwoofers - Need recommendation on which ones to use
Is mixing ported + sealed good idea, or should I stick to identical types?

Receiver & Amplification
Planning on getting Denon AVR-X3800H for 7.2.4
Planning Emotiva BasX A3 amplifier for LCR channels

I hope this provides sufficient power?
Which speakers (center, surrounds, atmos) need external amplification most?
What’s a good amplifier upgrade path for future expansion (more channels or power)?

Planned System (Work in Progress and open to suggestions) - I gathered these details by doing some research online and reading posts on AV forums. I attended a demo of Klipsch and they sounded great.
Front L/R: Klipsch RP-8000F II or KEF Q11 Meta
Center: Klipsch RP-504C II or KEF R2 Meta
Surrounds: Klipsch RP-502S II or KEF Q350s (open to suggestions)
Atmos (4): Directional in-ceiling speakers
Subwoofers: Need guidance
Receiver: Denon AVR-X3800H
Amp: Emotiva BasX A3 (for front LCR)

Best surrounds to match the front stage.
Ideal placement & spacing (front, surrounds, ceiling speakers)
Wattage concerns when matching speakers to receiver power
Last but not least, this requirement is in Hyderabad, India.

Thank you all so much! Would love to hear your thoughts on the best path forward and really looking forward to bringing this theater to life

I think instead of Rp8000ii Rp6000 Fii is sufficient as front L and R. Center go with Rp504cii. Its excellent.
Power amp you can consider O&B 3 channel also. And Maranz 7055 .
Avr 3800h is fine.
