Well, I had the same restrictions, but I requested someone local I knew there to order it for me and paid him directly in USD. So if your friend can request his relatives/colleagues who are there in US or whom he is visiting, then it can be done. It may be just a bit too much to ask from a casual friend. For someone you are close with, you can DEMAND to get it done

The one which I use has 1200:1 ratio which is manufactured bay Hishock,seller is sainsonic.
It may be just a bit too much to ask from a casual friend. For someone you are close with, you can DEMAND to get it done

Reached friends place.. now waiting to reach india. Newegg dowles amazing service. For 4-7 business day free shipping. Its delivered under 48 hours. Also once my friend made payment I have transferred amount to his paypal from mine. Though paypal charged at 64 rupees so it costed 24k total..

cannot agree more... just like a small kid who waits for his small items..

I was in similar boat, my pal in US send me the pictures of the projector and 3D glasses. I was all over the net searching to read about the projector and would have read the same reviews over and over...

thanks for guidance and suggestions for all our members. i always wanted a big bigger biggest screen and i was on the verge of picking a 51f5500 when i got hooked to this thread and 2 months down the line... i am a part of acer family.
@ spiro as suggested sent message to FM.
Good decision, you saved big money and the DLP cinema picture cannot be compared to the TV. This is like watching movie in a real theater if you get a good print.
