Acer H5370BD - Impressions

Hi Leo,

Hope your APC BR1000 works with the projector. An update for those looking at buying Microtek. I picked a 1000VA (1KVA) UPS from Microtek and it was not able to support the projector load. Multiple calls with their support team (which is surprisingly quite responsive) and a couple of visits from their technicians - now the UPS works. As per Microtek, their UPS are primarily for computers. They had to replace the circuit board and transformer in the new UPS to support the projector. As per the technician, one can call and buy from Microtek a 1KVA UPS to work out of box by telling them the purpose in which case they pre-configure the UPS circuit board to support it. BTW I paid Rs. 4100 for the UPS.

Had I known all the hassles of changing a circuit board and transformer upfront would have shelled extra money to buy APC BR1000.

It did work.. So no worries on that front. Purchased liberty manto series screen 11K (8' x 10') 150" diagonal. Getting it installed today.. Will post pics once its ready.. :yahoo:

My Acer 5370 with 10 x 8 liberty screen , I have found inner peace at last.

I was not very keen on taking the Mi3.. But after i read the reviews , i entered the last flash sale and got lucky. Its amazing, the build quality and finesse from a Chinese manufacturer is surprising. When we can buy Sainsonic 3D glasses and Liberty Screens then why not an Mi3.

waiting for mi4.... and xioami killed samsung ... took number 1 spot last month in domestic market.... gone are the days of 40,000 INR smartphones..

i still remember S3 for 40k and it ended at 22k.. 18k pure premium over a single unit and they sold in millions.. just wondering how much they earned...

with the dawn of new players like asus , lenovo .. under rated oppo and more... samsung is on a toss..

congrats again... its a damn good phone...:ohyeah:

Ironhorse/Premblr,

Honestly i didn't have much of a white wall to project. But from what ever i have seen, the images look much better on screen both in terms of brightness and black levels and haven't noticed any reflection issues either. But mine is a mid-range screen from Liberty and I keep hearing that the PQ on a Grandview is much better especially 3D. But GV was way beyond my budget with the entry level screen starting from 15K and a decent one around 19K or 22K+. I thought how can a projector and screen be of the same price. ha ha.

HI Guys ,

Please don't waste your money buying the Sainsonic 3D glasses from Amazon or Ebay.com . I went through a lot of research on this and finally came across the website SainSonic 3D Glasses, Radio, Beauty Machine, Camera & Graphics Accessories SainSonic . The best part they ship the 3D glasses across the Globe without charging you for Customs . In short I ordered 2 Sainsonic 3D glasses from this website for 3,500 /- including the shipping and no customs . It takes approx. 15-20 Days to deliver which I think is ok as far as we manage to save some bucks .... I have received mine yesterday and trust me they are simply AWESOME as compared to those cheap China Models which I purchased from Ebay.in for 1200 /- ... Already watched Avatar, Gravity , Despicable Me 2 on my ACER H5370BD and still enjoying ... All the best for your pair of Glasses ... CHEERS :-)

I have an update that I have a found a firm in Bangalore who can repair acer projectors. I had a dust blob issue and they successfully cleaned it up. They said that an annual service of projector is recommended and this dust issue is a common one.

I got my 3D glasses at last and to my shock the Sainsonic guys shipped "hi-shock" branded glasses instead of Sainsonic. I thought what a brand name to give me a shock. ha ha..

I havent seen/used Sainsonic 3D glasses so cannot do any comparitive analysis between those and hi-shock ones..

Quality was awesome , the glasses were light in weight, very sturdy though made from plastic and button battery type.

Watched Star Trek - Into Darkness in 3D and experience was good. If anyone in the forum had used these glasses pls share your comments. I hope sainsonic mistakes turns out to be a boon for me.

Connectivity was instant, no losses in between.

Link to those glasses, its in German try with Google translate..

Be Happy !! I was also in the same boat.
I had ordered two different models from Sainsonic. I recd. one Sainsonic Branded and other Hi Shock.
Hi Shock is much better build and even PQ wise, it yields better results.
