Need your suggestion.
1 .If we watch only Dishtv truHD channels on Panasonic 3D plasma there will be any effect on my kids eyes.
I read somewhere 3D tv is not good for upto 10 yr children.
2. At what height 3D TV should be fixed on wall if the lengh of the Hall is 18 Feet
3. What is Active and Passive 3D. Does beneath plasma model support Passive 3D.
Panasonic ST50 - excellent
Panasonic UT50 - very good
Panasonic XT50 - good
Thanks
1. Any 3D TV is also a 2D TV with capability of 3D as well. So you casn safely watch DishTV truHD (or for that matter any DTH service) on Panasonic 3D TV (or far that matter any 3d enabled TV).
Long hours on TV is not good for children. 3D is even worse.
2. No matter the viewing distance, while watching TV your neck should not be cramped. You should be watching TV with the head in horizontal position - but a slightly downward angle to horizontal is also OK. What must not happen is that you are looking upward and head is bent back while watching.
Considering this, it is best that the your eye level is a little above the horizontal center of the TV. Have the following as a reference sample:
- your couch is in front of TV at a distance of 10 ft.
- TV's is 42" diag and height is 24"
- your eye level from floor is 40"
In this case your should leave a clear 24" to 28" at the bottom of the TV. This is assuming a complete upright sitting. On the other hand most sofa are reclined behind slightly. Assuming a 5 to 7 backward recline, your viewing angle is raised and then the TV can be raised accordingly.
3. Google all about active and passive 3D. Too elaborate to explain here. All Panasonic plasmas work on active 3D technology.
p/s. If you are buying TV for 3D, then 50" is recommended.
