22ramesh, I think prices/quotes that I got are on higher side compared to what's going in other metros.
It would be good if any expert can throw light on good/reputed Panasonic dealer/seller in Hyderabad.
I was surprised to see showroom generally has scarcity of plasma (hardly 1 or 2 entry level plasma). Irony is even Panasonic authorized dealer (Kukatpally) doesn't have xt50/ut50 on display or any other plasma except last years 50" entry level plasma series. When I enquired about any offer on XT50 similar to other cities they have informed of not hearing like that and said even it will take time for 2012 models to arrive.
Lets wait and experience demos
It is indeed a sad state of affairs..........stores always want to push LED/LCD over plasma and stock very few models. Even the ones they do have are displayed very poorly. If you ever want to demo a plasma, please request the salesman to turn down the lights and then have a look.

Dear UKNIM please give complete details like model ,location etc, it is not only the price but also other features and warranty matters, for plasma somehow PANASONIC are the best even Panasonic has 42 plasma models which range from 32k,so it is up-to the individual budget, features and place which decides.
Regarding the offers by companies giving home theatres or 3D glasses etc if they provide a good stabilizer it will be benefit both the customer and the company.anyway i have seen in this forum many people are having problem with their TV giving up before 3 years,it is strongly recommended to have stabilizers, even VGUARD has started STABILIZERS for flat televisions.

What you say is true and ideal. But companies will want to push their own products - saleable and especially the non-moving.
one of the members has recently got an offer in this forum got a quote for 42st30d for 56000/- with one 3d glasses .
All the members from Hyderabad can share/update here also,if members who are interested can purchase as group.

That deal is mostly old stock (for ST30) clearance. If the dealer has many sku's, then many would get lucky. So my advice is "hurry before stock is over".
The 42ST50 will not be available at the same price. But a heavy discount for group buy is still possible.

Also if you belong to the category of people where one day you think you will have 4 or more people wanting to watch a 3D movie..then dont buy 2011 models of Panasonic as the glasses are very costly. Stick to 2012 models and you can buy cheap Samsung glasses so that every one can watch together

No need to buy the costly Panasonic glasses. You can buy universal active 3D glasses that will appear soon in the market.

I stopped visiting Croma a long ago. Often they do not have stock of what you want. They will very easily offload display pieces on you when stock is not available.
First time, I wanted a specific headset. I checked the Croma website and it was listed as an item that they kept. In the store, there was no stock. Ended up buying a headset that was not as good. I could have walked away and checked with other stores but I felt that the petrol+parking expense would render the justification useless.
Second time, I wanted to buy three colour ink cartridges. Two colours were available, third was not. Standard answer: delivery is underway; please come back after 2/3 days.
Next time I wanted to buy LCD monitor. I chose Samsung T-190. I paid at the counter and went back to pick the item. I noticed the display item was missing. I asked where it was. He told me, it is packed for me. I refused display item. He argued, "Sir, it was just opened two days ago and kept on display." Then he said that he did not have any stock and I may have to wait for 5-10 days. I took the display piece with great dissatisfaction.
I said "enough with Croma".

I got my tv today . I can confirm its 100% new piece . He told me that there are 1 or 2 pieces left .Even i was hesitant to buy from croma but everybody else quoted 10k higher than what they r offering in hyderabad . I'm yet to receive my 3d glasses .
