well i don't know why in hyderabad many small dealers don't have plasma in their display mostly lcd/led tv .i inquired at adeshwar,jd electronics,big bazzar,tmc etc

one thing is there is no big price difference Reliance/croma/ezone is offering this models,even no special festival offers will come they will extend the 3d glass for pany and blue ray for sammy and not many 2012 models have not yet come to market due to which there is high rates especially in hyderabad when compared to other cities.

i agree with blasto...its best to wait for festival season... Diwali should be best time to buy any electronics

I waited two years. Meanwhile 3 Diwalis went by and I did not see any significant drop in prices. Only when new models were available, old prices dropped. But when there is no stock, there is no option anyway.

Problem is, they are still pushing 2011 stuff for the SAME price and are not releasing 2012 models.
I think most people are clueless and are buying 2011 models for the said price.
For plasma however, since people do some ground work, there seem to be a deadlock. Dealers want to sell 2011 models and people want to buy 2012 models.
So wait.

yes it is true that most of them have old models and x50,xt50 they say new models and sell at high prices. Hyderabad is totally different market,there is no grey market,mostly people get it from dubai or some other countries mostly LED models and the rates are also not attractive for the risk taken.many small electronic dealers shop place cheap and easy going models than block their investment. After reliance has come everywhere the scope of small traders are reducing which is want big retailers want.

Yes that's true. Even pany showrooms trying to push older models and no word for newer one. Seems Hyd is totally different altogether.

Prices of Pansonic models have gone up by 2000 and above,xt50 is now quoting at 52k whereas it was available around 50k,and x 50 at 50000 it was quoting around 48k either due to shortage/demand or due to recent transport costs etc?

Best buy Walmart has opened it's new outlet in Hyderabad,they gave some advertisements in Local papers under electronics section,Pansonic full HDtv @ 24k for 32 inches, and some unknown brand element TV has anyone visited the store,can update.

Today I could visit a show room near Thirumalgiri area. They are quoting 47,500 for XT 50D (Canteen Stores Department Price). The current festive offer is a free Panasonic printer + Copy + Scan device @ extra 2000/-.

How about 3d glass with xt 50 d,they used to give at least one glass,what is the use without 3d glass buying a 3d tv? How about x50d which is a non 3d model.
well the MRP in Reliance and other shops is 50-51 with the offer i guess,well there is no advt in the newspapers also,according to me buy during the festive season as the rates and offers are known. whether the dealer will reduce if we buy 2-3 pieces,with offer,without offer.
