Hi Everyone ,

First of all thanks to everyone who have been doing a wonderful job by helping others for their New PDPs and LEDs purchases ..
Coming to my Confusion .. Looking into market for 50 inch plasma ...
My Priority :
Picture Quality is most important - In HD
Decent SD PQ .. My parents see lot of TV serials.
3D - Would like to try.
Budget - 70K - +5K
I know all three mentioned Plasmas have good reviews . Since ST60 is out of my bucket , Luking the above three sets.

My Confusions :
Will the UT50 be that much reflective , i mean to say even the Tube light reflections during evening , will it be a problem or It doesnt ? And UT50 stocks too is scarcily available ..
How gud s F5500 when compared to UT50 ? Will there be a significant diff in black levels or Overall the PQ will be same in both .
And finally what abt the E550. Is it okie to go with it or stick with either UT50 or F5500 ??
Please helpme out .. Probabily within a week or 2 will purchase mostly ... !

I have a 5500. Is really good, hence will recommend over the other two. The other two are primarily older model (2012). Regarding the reflection, it is an issue with almost all plasmas. If you have a tube-light directly on the opposite wall, it will definitely be a distraction. Try whether you can shift the tube-light from there. I have all ceiling concealed light and no window facing the TV. So it is not an issue with me at all. Otherwise the PQ is awesome. Just have a demo and find it yourself.

If you can't afford ST60, then it is the only alternative for you at the budget you have mentioned.

Thanks for the reply ... From wt i have heard , the black levels in UT50 are better than 5500 , but some say the overall PQ s better in 5500 ,
1.How better are the black levels in UT50 or its not noticeable that much ...
This is what corcerns me more ... !!
2.And i also heard that , SD is better in samsung than panasonic

@manzb : Can you provide some pics of dark scenes from your 5500 .. Much appreciated .

All the above are right.
Also dark scenes from UT50 will be less bright than 5500.

Regarding the reflection, it is an issue with almost all plasmas.

ST60 has resistance to reflection.

If you have a door opening to balcony or road opposite to the TV, nothing other than ST60 will do unless you drape it completely. Go for ST60 or an LED.

If there is a tube light opposite to the TV, any of the above will be ok but not great. Again ST60 will not even see it as an issue.

If there is a tube light on the same side of the TV, No issues at all. In fact I have seen perceived contrast increase with lights above the TV on the same side.

Few snaps with BB 9360 (lousy camera), while watching LORAX at StarWorld-HD. I will try to give some good snaps from Blu Ray movies like Dark Knight sometime using a regular camera.

picture is outstanding....much better than panasonic plasmas which i had before...going to buy it very soon....i feel clarity and colours in samsung are better than panasonic.panasonic wins samsung only in one area -black levels
the rest samsung is the winner....

Oh I forgot to mention that both brightness (40 or so) and contrast (around 60) are at lower level as of now to prevent IR (which is recommended for the first 200 hrs or so).

Thanx. Lemme see. Else will play around with the settings myself for a PQ of my choice. But all this will be later, when the Burn-in period will be over in a month or so.

ST60 will not be at 60-70K (more like 1+ L) and availability is a question. Best option is 51F5500 and should be around 75K (after price increase).

please post some screenshots of movies(non-animation)like hd channels,sd channels, dvd and bluray

Sorry for asking..When we see these images of plasmas...normally we are seeing it on our LCD/LED/CRT monitors..so if it looks good or bad..isn't it due to our screens?
