A Hotter Future Is Certain, but How Hot Is Up to Us.

Just shows how complex the whole issue really is .. seems efforts to use cleaner fuel in ships had an unintended consequence.. although not all experts on the degree ..
Complicated yes, but all evidence should be considered seriously whether we agree or not.

We’re not doomed. Here’s how to revive Planet Earth
“If given a chance, nature can rebound, and nature can rebound dramatically.” Biologist Sean B. Carroll discusses the resilience of nature and how humans can help it thrive.

Humans litter, start wars, hunt, and poach, but history has also shown we are capable of undoing our damage. Carroll highlights Gorongosa National Park in Mozambique, where a brutal civil war decimated 98% of the large animal population. Yet, through dedicated conservation efforts, the park has seen a remarkable recovery – and this is not the only example.

This video explores the power of awareness and action—no matter how small. While humans have caused significant damage to wildlife, we also possess the ability to restore and protect our planet’s biodiversity. Carroll shares insights on how we can coexist with nature, ensuring a healthy and happy future for both humans and other creatures on Earth.

A reminder we as a species are not as important as we think…it will take a relatively short time for nature to reclaim what was our world.
The existence of human species is inconsequential to the environment as compared to the other species who are essential like trees, birds, bees etc which may have a symbiotic relation.
In fact humankind has caused more harm than good to the environment though we consider ourselves the most intelligent species.

we consider ourselves the most intelligent species
Based on evidence available that claim is very far from true.
Clever, cunning, greedy, quarrelsome, shortsighted, selfish, disorganised, destructive and such seem to be better descriptors of our species as a whole

A new study finds that politicians tend to use shorter words in speeches on hot days.

Its surprising that earths life is 2B years, humans have been here for less than 300K and of that only the last 100 where we began with our mischief Dinosaurs had been around for more than150 M years !

Someone was comparing if earths life was 24 hours we appeared only in the last 2 mins of which the last 1 sec is when we can to itch it..how long before earth feels like scratching the itch out ?

That scratching out the itch seems not too far if we don't try to reverse things. In India the urge to preserve nature may be generally limited to the villages. Politicians and business people will always try to see the profitable angle from it.
I am sure most of us including me are guilty of causing pollution in some way or the other. The least we can try is to minimise it.

New research reveals India’s plastic waste generation at 9.3 million tonnes per year, far exceeding previous estimates
