Its custom board made out of pre-heat treated pure Burma teak uniform wood batons slot-stuffed together and then hard pressed in a machine. I don't use large single plank because of its unwanted resonance properties.
Rubber board simply has glued pieces of softwood together and heat treated with binder. You cannot expect strength from rubber wood boards which is required in speaker cabinets. There is always a risk of cracking and gaping associated with them. Good for kitchen and furniture only.
Is it some new type of wood board made out of teak wood? One can see joints on the board like you see the on the rubber boards....It does not look like teak plank isn't it?
