AKAI - 40 inch - 1920X1080 (Resolution)- 29K - At Big Bazaar

Hello All,

There is an offer going on at Big bazaar, for AKAI LCD TV's.

Resolution - 1920X1080
2ms response time.
very good contrast ratio.

I have bought this TV its real HD TV, with wonderful picture clarity.

And moreover for 29K its really amazing.

I may sound like an AKAI marketing agent...but do a audition..and you will be surprised.

i also came across same in one big bazar store. Can u update the model no of the same, coz in AKAI site its not much clear.
For the price its a steal !!!

But Akai has poor service and a very poor brand image. Their CRT TVs did not last and was very prone to frequent complaints. Hope it will be different with LCDs.

Additionally the Haier also has 42 inch LCDs in the 30-35 K range and has 4 year warranty. Please check.

IMO Haier is no different either with respect to customer service. We had bought
a 21" CRT TV few years back, the remote stopped working in a few months, the
TV would automatically change channels/volumes etc, the buttons on the TV also
stopped responding after sometime. It was difficult to get hold of service technicians
and they were not knowledge also. Finally gave it away off.

my Akai "Black Belt" 14" portable tv is running FINE since it was brought in April 2003!
Also my Akai Dvd player worked GREAT for allmost 7-8 yrs,until it recently knocked off(mayb i can still repair it cheaply)

However,having said that,...i would still would insist on a better brand for peace of mind on performance & service issues!
