Hi Friends,

This is my first post on this forum. I have a 5 year old pair of altec lansing vs4121 speakers. Today i noticed that the subwoofer had a lot of dust behind the front protection grill. I noticed that the grill was held in place tightly with the help of small teeth in the frame itself. With a little effort i was able to remove the grill but i noticed that there was some sort of rubbery glue which was applied to the raised edges of the grill. the strands of the glue also came off with the grill. Even without the glue the grill fits quite nicely and doesn't rattle when i play music. However, i was wondering if i could temporarily glue the grill again with the same kind of material but i really have no idea what kind of glue is it. I want to apply the same kind of glue so that it can be easily removed again for cleaning. My best guess is that it is some sort of silicon sealant or glue. Request you to please shed some light on the matter. I have tried searching on ebay with the keyword glue but i don't know which one in the results will work for my purpose. Below is the link to search page. Also, please check the images for your reference.
