Why are we derailing a thread on fraudulent sale?
My take on this particular scenario where the buyer has to spend a considerable amount to bring speakers to a state where he can enjoy it, is that even after having to spend the additional amount (assume 1Lac) the buyer still ends up paying 2.5 Lac to get sound signature of speaker which cost 13Lacs. Assuming the buyer earns 10% by investing the difference amount which is 10.5 Lac, the buyer still can recover the amount spent on speakers in 3 years. So if I would have been in shoes of buyer, I would have seen things this way.Why are we derailing a thread on fraudulent sale?
That only i am telling, he is not WILLING to listen to speaker and his mindset was so.Does it imply that Harmony Speakers are on par with Tannoy Westminster? No, they cannot be even though both these speakers will give enjoyment to its owners. People pay for the sound they like and according to their capacity. Someone willing to spend 30 Lacs plus on speakers is very unlikely to audition a 50k speaker.
Yes that should work. Id suggest changing both the tweeters rather than just one just to make sure both are the same and thats very necessary. crossover changes might not be necessary for such minor changes but keeping left and right the same will be imnportant for coherency in high end speakersIf I get the original driver of the speaker (zz11460) it might resolve the issues because the tweeters are untouched.
How would you infer that whoever this notional person is, has either not thought of or not experienced in speakers before to know what a well setup system . Most folks would have done this as their ears/listening evolve go for higher end systems. if this were not the case every consumer with experience in high end sound would be listening to much cheaper speakers than they do now !That only i am telling, he is not WILLING to listen to speaker and his mindset was so.
I will definitely try subject to availability of the driver.Yes that should work. Anyway this is too subjective a review but its clear that the OP has a preference for a speaker and has been cheated so lets not move away from that topic. If you feel so strongly on this maybe you can start a new thread with the setups you have heard which can provide far more musical value than much higher priced setups so others can also learn from it.
TrueI have seen many posts of this Dealer and he is on OLX , Facebook Market Place etc.
Simple rule...if the ad is detailed well with proper statements (not Google copy paste) you know then you are dealing with a proper person. Based on the wordings of the ad one should accordingly meet face to face check the product and close the deal accordingly. If the seller is based Outstation, check if there is some friend into friend or relative available with ample knowledge to close the deal.
Regardless of the person who is closing the deal on your behalf, do your home work, get on a video call with the seller and check the condition including playback before your representative goes to seller place to close the deal and collect.
This is my suggestion which I have shared with most over the last decade based on my experiences and it has helped a lot. One should be very very careful in today's time.
My EPOS bookshelves were from him- bought at least 16 years ago in immaculate condition and still playing superb. Once he has been a good reseller, not sure how his deals are now turning bad. Heard another case for another buyer at Kolkata. The only solace is you have connected to the best guy for repair.
My guess is that he is none other than Mr. Ashok Mondal.Hi Sourav, who are you referring to when you say “the best guy for repair” in Kolkata?
May I ask you to put me in touch with him? It would greatly help me if you can - I have a B&W ASW10CM whose enclosure is damaged in the corners and needs repairing.
Hi Amit, thanks for your response. How do I get in touch with Mr. Ashok Mondal? My guess is that he is none other than Mr. Ashok Mondal.
