do check the crossover as well. the work done on midwoofer indicates a replacement for a burnt voice coil. that means that
1. there is a possibility of some caps get getting fried as well.
2. a burnt VC means the speaker was overdriven, possibly to clipping (unless it was a mega amp driving the bookshelves), clipped signals can damage the tweeters in an instant.
3. (does the undamaged side sound wonderful?) an overdrive on one side means means the other side was probably overdriven too, maybe not to the point of being burnt out.
overall the prognosis is not good. unless you get everything checked you may be throwing good money after bad. you have already spent 1.5 lakhs. whatever you spend on replacement of midwoofer unless you have verified everything else is fine, Chances are that you wills till be disappointed.
I would focus, if possible on recovery of the money. And while you may not want others cheated, your first thing should be to get your own interest protected, its not as if he will not con someone else with another defective speaker even if yours is not on the market
I have examined the mechanics, he told me that the speaker coil is not original, I have shared the Pic. Both speaker coils are different colors (locally made), and the Speaker Cone area has been dismantled. I am searching Original driver of the speaker model no zz11460. The only option is to replace the driver.

It won’t match if you don’t have the exact model 805s. As I googled, there are multiple 805 models-805 and 805s(improved version). Swapping the drivers from one variant to the other will not work as the crossover would be optimized for the driver. I meant you can email them and ask if you have the same model you need.
The other option is to keep this aside until you find a used 805 with some other defect and Frankenstein both the speakers. I had luck on certain things after years.

You can file a police complaint at your native place with proof of payment and mobile number. Once he gets a police call about complaint against him, I am sure he will start to co-operate with you to find a solution.

Honestly going by re-coning service charges it comes to 175$ for one driver (before customs), add cost and repair for crossover and one is looking at around 300 or so USD for one speaker. After this the left and right speakers may not sound the same. For the amount of money sunk into this speaker I would suggest it is better to ask the seller to take this back and even settle for lesser refund. Pouring money into this project IMO is ill advised.

Opting for repairing this speaker does not sound to be a good solution and even won't make sense commercially.

+1 totally. File a police complaint against this guy with all written proofs. Simultaneously, demand that he make amends for the fraud that he pulled off on you by refunding the full amount and taking back the tampered speakers. IMHO I would settle for nothing less.
But dont understand one thing. 1.50laks is good Good amount. With that we can buy any good brand new towers from range of options available in both offline stores or reliable online store like hifimart. But unnecessary kn the name of vintage seems we are spendjng our hard earned money on somd 10 to 15 yrs old models jn the name of vintage . Vintage ampliifiers with tag made in japan etc. We need to recheck this.
B&W Nautilus series is very supireior quality of sound. Upgare BS nautilus 805 D4 price is around 13 Lac.
I let the speaker to repir it to Mr Vivek from Kolkta. He is trying to fix it but problem is arramge to find original voice coil & Spider.
I have already sent the speaker for repair, He had opened the speaker, if I lodged a complaint against him, can I establish if this is repaired/some original parts of the speakers are missing.
But where people are taking advantage. We will loose mental peace and money.wgarfdale evo 4.4 etc anc even own country manifacturer Indiq Audio etc are options.
I guess Now that people know its been opened and tampered with on social media, your case is much weaker unless you have written proof that he had accepted this as an issue
