Haloo, I think over to build some audio systems for music like jazz, classical, ambients, instrumentals, and vocals. The amps should have very clear sound and good deep bass (for other music who I like- house, techno, alternative rock).
While I search, I saw this amps- Yamaha A-s500, is this is good amps for this type of music or??? Becouse some my friends tell me that good yamahas amps are these from 70-80 years of 20st. ? I saw other posts about this amps, some of them whritte that the a-s500 is with too bright sound and this is irritate, and its too warm? I look for something about 800-850 dollars.
For now I stopped on this system:
Yamaha A-s500+Yamaha CDs300+wharfedale diamond 10.1
I dont look for power, I want the most quality of sound for this money.
What you will recommend?
I forgot to say that its possible the amps and other components to be second hand. Its not definitely to be new.
Thanks for your help :)

thread title is for 'classical music'. indian (carnatic or hindustani), or western? however, since u say 'jazz' also, so i ges western?

Im from Bulgaria, and here I can get something very good for this money. Yes the music is western classical music- Bach, Bethoven, Mozart, Hendl. Jazz- Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Ray and other singers.

some people say that yamaha a-s500 is better than a-s700 as regards sound quality. What you will say? And give me some alternative of yamaha a-s500 and 700.

Hey Nikodene,

Below 1000$, you should be looking at a Nad , Creek or Arcam amplifiers if you can find one in bulgaria. Avoid the Yamaha amplifiers especially the low budget ones. You are not getting many responses because most folks on this forum are from India and may not know much about availabilities in Bulgaria.
I think your best bet would a Creek amp in this budget.

House , techno, classical, Jazz is a very extraordinary combination. It is very difficult to assemble a system which will do justice to all this unless you have a lot of money to spend.

instead of spending money on amplifiers, stick to whatever you have and upgrade your speakers wf 10.* will hardly do justice to your music choices. Speakers are the most important component in the chain.

I dont get it, why people are suggesting uber amps with wf10.1:rolleyes:

Absolutely.
I did not see that part... My bad.

Thanks of everyone :) That I wanted, to help me with other offers not only yamaha.
If you guess more variants, I will glad to see them. :) , I forgot to say that for example- yamaha A-s500 here in Bulgaria, I can get new for 300 euro, second hand- 130-40 euro.
Here some technics are very cheap, becouse and sallary arent very high. I tell you this for reference point for you, and offer me other amp in that range :) now I will looked the amp what you wrote and checked up.

Avoid all these new amps from Yamaha, technics. If your budget is quite low, try for a NAD integrated amp atleast.

What speakers are you planning to use with them ?

I was planned to use wharfedale diamond 10.1, but this was for Yamaha a-s500, I heard that sound perfectly with yamahas amp. I dont know, if yamaha a-s500 sound realy good for these money, I will get it, but if have better amp. FOR THIS MONEY... for that I create that thread, to know is have better amp. than yamaha a-s500 for this money. And Is the yamaha a-s500 is better than a-s700?

And, excusme, if you Avoid new yamahas amp. tell me some of the best vintage yamahas amp. :) Or other good vintage amp. I can buy it second hand, here is have a lot amp second hand, and they are a very cheap.

ok, so you havent purchased the wharfdales yet. I suggest you buy good speakers first and then look for a matching amp.
