HTPC builders go through many discussions, and select components .
Due to hassle of understanding details many dont enter in to building.
After all not all has time to read so much and roam in market for components.

How will it be if you can sit at home and HTPC gets delivered with end-to-end components , wait .. i am not in the spend all and get it fast league.

Got some idea, as a HTPC noob i may be wrong.
Seems this tiny bare-bone PC(link below ) will be a good candidate for slim HTPC just 119USD with case +cpu +mobo + GFX card .
Add a piece of RAM (takes till 8GB ) and an old HDD and we are done .

Handles 1080p , slim ,low cost
Runs Win7 Ultimate just fine, driving my 1080p TV using Win7 Media Center. Amazing design to pack this much power into so little space.

good one kaushik, but to ship this to india will cost more than double, 10 pounds in weight,. Wonder how they could give in such low cost. Arent there any catch? did not have time to read reviews.

having used/reviewed Zotac HTPC AD04, I am a fan of their HTPCs. Their new line is also cost effective and amply powerful while in a very small form factor, News : ZOTAC Launches ZBOX Nano AD12 Series

Do remember prices mentioned are in MRP, so actual prices might be even lower.

It is based on AMD E350 Fusion which is mainly used for HTPC purpose. I think the foxconn mobo used is available here as Digilite and costs around 4.5K only. The AMD platform will play all HD movies and BR ISOs with ease. But it does not support 3D for which you can add a dedicated GPU later.

Prime ABGB, Mumbai has good collection of HTPC cases. they ship natiowide and are quite good at handling things.

they do offer discounts on not-so-fast moving items and are often stuck with HTPC stuf which nobody buys...... so peeps can try their luck.

I got really lucky with my htpc case. I use a zalman hd135s which I picked up new from ebay USA for Rs 3000 and asked a relative to bring it along with them. It was made by the same people who make origen cases today.

I agree with Zotac, I recently networked an entire house of one of my client, with a NAS, an HTPC and a regular PC. I did a DIY for his NAS, but suggested Zotac Zbox Nano for HTPC, which he obliged and bought. I was amazed by the quality and specially the size. ............ its just palm sized and powerful enough for all HTPC needs. Configured it using XBMC EDEN and it played everything that I threw at it .......... Product on the expensive side but drools quality for sure ...and I guess everybody knows quality costs ......:)

bhai ,

All want butter chicken at the price of Egg pokora .
ishop international ie ICC world will ship in 3k so at 10K approx total u have a HTPC running w/o hassle .
Quote: Rs 10,124.00
Item price + local shipping + taxes RS. 5,600.00
Int'l Shipping RS. 2,716.00
Duty, Taxes & fees RS. 1,808.03

TOTAL RS. 10,124.00

Now this solution is hassle free ... may be a many busy people will prefer.
There are always other options like

MR X sales -- > HTPC case
MR Y gives used GFX --> in Rs . abcd
U can add A1 case + B1 GFX + get Deal with ZZZ code for C1 PSU
After that u can load sw1 , sw2,hw1, media GUi1 .GUi2

it is always the game of head2pc for HTPC meaning how much head you want to put for a HTPC .
;)
