As far as I know the MRP of the 50VT20 is Rs. 200,000/-Being offerred at 1.3 lacs in Gurgaon Brand Shop. MRP is around 1.6 (we are talking regarding the VT 20?)
Less than nine months ago the 50VT20 was selling for a streeet price of Rs. 175,000 (MRP Rs. 200,000) and now the same TV is selling for Rs 105,000, I wonder, how those who bought it at the higher price will be feeling now. This practise by Pansonic of price gouging on models initially and then dropping the price later is something that has been going on for a few years now. Bottom line is that the business practises of Panasonic in India do not reflect their International standing and they seem to come across as just a small time 'opportunistic' company with not much regard for their consumers. It is a shame that a company that makes great products is run by obviously very short sighted people in India. I am sure these pricing practises are causing a lot of damage to the Panasonic brand in the long term.50VT20 available for 105k at Panasonic Janakpuri. Price is what salesman quoted without any negotiations. I am waiting for launch of 50vt30. I think its street wont be over 100k. As it has been launched in Thailand for almost 65% of price of 50vt20.
The VT series is the flagship series of Panasonic and is a higher series than the ST series.@sanjaybhai
While having a demo of the st30 I saw that the price tag was around 1.63 (not sure whether the same was mrp or discounted price) Further when I enquired regarding the availability of the ST30 in 50inch size the salesman stated that the same was not launched and further offerred the VT20 50 incher at Rs 1.3
Panasonic has knocked off 50k from price of 50vt20. 50st30 has street price of 100k. So top of the line 3d tv of 2010 range is as cheap as cheapest 3d 2011 plasma. I bought 50vt20 yesterday for a mouth watering price of 98.5k
As far as I know the MRP of the 50VT20 is Rs. 200,000/-
