hello everyone - amateur hifi fan interested in building a small but quality system for my bedroom. i listen mainly to CD although have increasingly looked at a clean TT setup.

All my gear is pretty ancient - a pair of Alons driven by an old rotel integrated amp. My brother made the cables for me. Hooked this up to my PC and TV and PS3 for my music and movie needs.

Have been thinking about a integrated tube amp, TT and a good pair of speakers for either the bedroom or music room.

anyone know where i can scrounge through 2nd hand stores in Bangalore?

Thanks!

I am not so sure but SP Road could be one place to check considering it is the biggest computer/electronic market in town...

Hi,

The SP road is Parallel to the Mysore Road flyover from where it starts or the north-west part of Town hall, you can ask anybody there. Also look for Sunday Market you can get almost anything, which is close to Avenue Road, If you are lucky, you can get a good deal.
(Note: there will no warranty on any of the products)
Try to use a public transport, taking a two wheeler has parking issues and don even think of taking a car, its a nightmare, LOL.

If you are looking for AMP, try to go for Transistor based, It is vintage and hard to get, but it is worth finding.

Again if you have a budget of five figures, you can save urself from all these hassles, I would recommend a HTIB setup:
Xperiment range: Logitech, Creative, iball etc (upto 10k)
Home range: Sony,LG, Phillps, Samsung. (upto 15k)
Entry level pro: Onkyo, Harman kardon, definitive technology, Kef etc.(20k onwards)
