Best 5.1 speakers within Rs.60000

Audiolab 7000CDT CD Transport
AVR- Denon 1713
I have shorlisted the following speakers:-

1)Polk TL 1600 5.1
2)wharfedale ms 100 5.1
Both have excellent reviews compared to BOston Accoustics XS.

Let me know which is better?Are the above speakers worthy? Will they perform well for my room size(15*12 sq.ft).;)

I was planning to buy Denon 1312XP HTiB....but then changed my mind at the last minute and upgrade...now i have made up my mind for the newer AVRs... btw, 1612 is outdated...So, i have finalised the my set as :

1. AVR - Denon 1713.
2. Polk TL1600 5.1.

(The above package is costing me Rs. 65.5K ..in Mumbai)

3. ProFx Speaker cable @ Rs. 45 per mtr. (Actually Chord speaker cables are better but they are at Rs 165 per meter...maybe i will upgrade later).
4. 1 HDMI cable b/w AVR and TV (Sony LED 3D HX 850) - Chord @ 4.5k
5. 3 Other HDMI cables (for BD, Sat Tv & Media player to the AVR) - MX 3134 @ 1.5k each.

Anyone any comments on this..Actually is there anyone who has this package of Denon 1713 & Polk TL1600 ??..would love to get their views...Cos these systems sound different in the AV rooms ...would like to hear from the actual usage.

Denon and polks go well..........good combo!!! glad you are not going for any HTIB systems.

Thanks ... as a matter of fact, i did go in for it and even brought it home... but good sense prevailed and giving it back...and the Dealer has agreed to take it back :)

How abt the Sony HX 850? Whats the size of your TV?. I Compared the Sony HX850 vs Samsung ES7500 vs LG LM7600. But could not finalised between these three. What do you suggest?

As per my understanding, there is no advantage as such between different HDMI cables after a point. Which is to say, I really do not understand if there will be any difference between HDMI cable worth 1.5K and the above cable of 4.5K.

Any suggestions by experts here????

Edit: Infact I would say, even the 1.5K worth cable might not be required. 1.4 HDMI cables can be had even for as low as Rs. 500.

I must say this could be a good pick and yes Denon's go well with Polk... Since this is new combination... Keen to hear a detailed experience.

Wondering if you have thought about Pioneer sp-pk 21bs and energy take classic which I suppose are in the same range btw 33-35k and are rated top by CNET, that said I don't mean TL 1600 is any less!

If u want to buy 3D TV,then go for LG only...it is the best(with passive glasses).Whatever u purchase,check out whether it is edgelit or fullarray led and has local dimming or not. A way of testing ur TV is as follows:-

Take a complete black picture from ur PC(MS Paint) & see the image in the TV(in a completely dark room),then check out whether there is any light bleeding from the corners and also the amount of black level on the screen...:)

My TV is LG 3D 32LM6200..little bit of light bleeding from the corners under total dark room conditions with a black picture.:sad:

But 3D & PQ is awesome...Perfect colors.Very satisfied.worthy product comparable to other models & brands.Has all modern features(Wi Di,Dual Play etc.):yahoo:

I have listened Polk Audio TL 1600 at Pro FX yesterday..Nice rich sound.Quiet satisfied.
Already booked the denon 1612 AVR.

can anybody help me to choose between Pioneer SP-PK21BS & Polk Audio TL 1600.There is no way to get the demo of Pioneer spkrs.

Please shed some light on this.....:)
