Only bookshelves please as i do not have space for a floorstander. Budget...........not a constraint but value for money is. i wont pay 2x the money for a 2% increase in sound quality.

If budget was not a constraint and I wanted a bookshelf this is what I would probably buy:
Sumiko Audio : Sonus faber
Otherwise the Auditor M or Liuto Monitor

the morels are a very good speaker. i would recomend it anyday. clean and clear sound. they need high current amp. can also go loud.

Morel makes very good drivers. Their speakers are not the usual run of the mill stuff and are an acquired taste to say the least.
They may not float your boat and the only way to figure that is to go and hear a pair.
Also keep in mind that some of their designs are really tough to drive (very lowish sensitivity) and your Arcam may not get you the SPL u desire .

Hi Dinyaar,

Morels rated rms is 120 at 86db sensitivity. Arcam A38 is throwing 140 rms at 4ohm. I hope that would be suffice to run morel. But as u mentioned, will have audition soon.

Audition for ATC speaker is not available in Mumbai. Dealer is in chennai. I spoke to him. He can deliver in mumbai

I had audition Morel with E-350. Somehow I found sound a bit mellow/lean. I cant say it was bad, but something was missing.

Then I went to Chennai to audition ATC SCM 19. I had to spend 12k on airfare from Mumbai. SCM19 were just unbelievable. No words to describe. period. Bought after 30 min of audition. Came back to Mumbai. Ultimately ended up buying SCM40.

where can i demo the ATC in mumbai? why has no one recomended the dynaudio C1

There is no D & D for Dynaudio in India, so where will you audition or buy it ?
Besides, the C1 looks better than it plays;

The JM Labs Utopia is a nice speaker - better than the C1 imho...

These 3 are good speakers;
However, none [imho] will outperform the Morel.

The person is looking for a move - up I assume & the option you have suggested will only be side way movements.

Besides, GMA is not sold in India & Dynaudio does not have a D & D in India. Genuin FS5 is in India - but only in Bnagalore - I assume.

I auditioned a JBL some time back & what I heard may be an option to consider...
JBL - JBL Home Audio - JBL Car Audio - JBL Marine Audio - JBL Home Theater, Theater Systems, Speakers, Stereo, Electronics, Surround Sound Systems
If you can accept its looks - I did not like the way they looked....

Besides, that store is closed now & Boomerang is 're-locating' [so I have been informed] !

Is Avalon still on sale in India ? I am not sure of the current status;;
