Brought my 51E550 home yesterday

After much deliberation and forum hunting, I let my shopping disorder kick in and brought 51E550 home.

I am using the slides from Evangelos Angelides - Home for breaking in. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Just keept the contrast and brightness <50 for the first month.

Congratulations buddy! Don't bother too much about break-in. Keep the brightness and cotrast at reasonable levels and BLASTO mentioned.

I'm also looking forward to buy this TV. However, 51E550 availability in Pune seems to be a problem.

I think amidst all the technical brouhaha we underestimate ease of buying tremendously. I hadn't set out with an intention of coming back with a Samsung. It's just the snotty attitude of Panasonic guys that puts me off, and seriously, UT50 may be great but I haven't noticed anything lagging in E550 either...

E550 does many things better than UT50 hands down.

@OP congrats! you made a good choice and that is a fine plasma, and for the price and think no other TV can better its performance.
